I can't see a grey bus in the dark fpmsl
Sat at great Charles street tonight at the lights on my 9
What went past me in the dark at 1750 a leccy bus well you could see the stainless steel wheels four orange side markers
Cctv mirror monitors in the cab
Downstairs lights upstairs lights
It was lit up like a bloody Christmas tree
Can't see them what are you lot on
Can you see dark coloured cars that are smaller than a bus with less lighting if not be careful you might get run over
Given the way a lot of car drivers drive, especially around Brum, I think not seeing the colour is the least important factor about getting ran over.

When it comes to buses it's not difficult to see a bus on the road, especially anything 48xx or newer as they seem to have brighter saloon lighting than 47xx and as far as the single decker go they're the brightest I see but that could be a perspective thing.

6924 wasn't tracking today. It looks like it hasn't tracked on bustimes since 14th Feb so I presume I am posting this a little too late

What's the function of this part? Is there something similar in a car?

Yawn I'm bored now
I'm bored of the content bickering on here, if it wasn't for the fact that I like seeing the perspectives of Tony and those that have been confirmed as drivers then I probably wouldn't be on here.
I do have to agree that I find the brand a little disconnected at the moment though once the vehicles with the older liveries are withdrawn or repainted maybe that would improve the brands connection and as time goes on I'm sure that the new grey livery will become accepted as NXBus livery and people will move on with their lives until a new brand identity is launched by NX in the future. I personally like seeing the reinvention of a brand whether or not I agree with the change doesn't really matter to anyone else. I'm sure that there are always good reasons for every decision made when it comes to a livery and a brand since it does change the way the company looks. I know of a few people not on the forum that question aspects of the grey but I also know that it has been confirmed that the grey is more hardwearing than the red was and also since the only difference between NXWM and NXC livery is now just vinyls then it also reduces costs when transferring between brands and as a business, like all businesses, NX need costs to be a low as they can get them. So meanwhile I don't like the grey in comparison to crimson I can respect the decision that has been made and I cannot wait for the next livery - as long as things don't end up going too close to Manchester's arrangement but that's a topic I'm not willing to go into publicly

I noticed that 6924 has some new next stop announcements. I'm guessing these will roll out to other PN platinum buses over the next few weeks?
I do like the more natural feel that they have in comparison to the older ones. Though I think this is only really noticeable if you've been on one then the other

Quote from: Tony on January 16, 2024, 08:01:50 PMSometimes a downgrading can be because of antisocial behaviour in the shelter, another reason can be if the shelter obstructs to much of the pavement for the largest wheelchair to get past.
I wonder if the Pensnett Road bus stop by Londis in Holly Hall might be downgraded after being wiped out by a BMW. It felt overpowering when waiting for a bus with the old clue and orange branding it had and it seems like the current flag and pole stop is making it easier for bus drivers to pick up and drop off due to the cars that like to park so close. Though it wouldn't surprise me if a new shelter was put up in its place as a like for like replacement. I personally would prefer a flag and pole given the limited space on the footpath as well. I guess we will find out when TfWM arranges a replacement

I wanted to ask, do the 6 and 9 no longer interwork on Sundays?
It does appear that way

Is this going to be a refresh of the current livery already on it or will it be the new grey?

Not sure if this is a better place than the oddities thread but... I noticed today that 6918 doesn't have any next stop announcements on the 9. It announces the route and the destination then nothing until it is changed to go back again.

There was a 9 branded bus on the X10 today. Saw it while at Merry Hill but wasn't close enough to see a fleet/bus no.
