Quote from: solonightrider on Yesterday at 09:25:26 PMsome of them telford mmcs are bit small for the busier 828/74's times i guess, but a vast improvement on albert steptoe & sons daily unreliable scrap yard operatiion its become. Jeez imagine having ya name on the o licence for compliance  :police:

If chaserider purchased new E400 Mmcs with WiFi, wooden flooring, leather seats, panoramic roof and charging points and ran every 5 minutes you and Bob would still find something to moan about. Maybe the shade of red would be wrong. You 2 are just sitting on your keyboards waiting for something bad to happen. Sad really

Quote from: Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointer on April 12, 2025, 06:16:52 AMThe new inbound evoras are for the 74 as Staffordshire council are paying for them. Be interesting to see what will come for the 5

Edit - thinking about it i wouldnt be surprised if they are used on it
I thought the Evora's were for the 828 as the 74 was going to run separately? With the Centrebus group  investing massively in new/newish buses lately I'm sure chaserider will benefit with newer reliable buses soon

Quote from: TheSecretOne on April 05, 2025, 05:19:21 AMLast week was down to all evoras staying in the depot as all were getting a deep clean, 638 is off the road atm, but usually on a Sunday all evoras are out which is 6 with normally 5202 a couple of Telfords and 496-497-498 and 499 are normally on stand by as spare busses,  the net evoras that are due are to replace the old Volvos and they are due to start arriving this month so hopefully by the end of may they should all have been delivered and in service, they are struggling on the yard with space so at least 5 old buses will be leaving.
Stop talking sense and telling the truth. People in here only want doom and gloom

It seems First have stolen a March on D&G in tranche 3 of BSIP. Taking over evening routes 2,5, and 9. Also running a route 40 alongside D&Gs 40 and a new route 501.
D&G picked up route 27a.
Stanton's not won any extra work (not sure they bid)

Quote from: Lukeee on December 15, 2024, 10:41:48 PMDepends how much carolean have bidded to run the contract for and how much these buses would cost to lease/purchase there might be no profit in running this route, in which case why bother.
Youd of thought they'd check availability of vehicles and costs before entering a bid

I want actually meaning that Carolean would be violating TfWM rules. I was just saying as they're growing it would be beneficial to adopt an identity

If they're going to expand they need to consider an actual livery and gain an identity
