Could be, the speedo gauge is a different colour than usual

Forgot to also review 6815. Painfully slow, especially uphill, but a pleasure to have especially over a boring 68 or 19 plate

4744 - seems to have its mileage reset. Love how the upper deck bells have the ALX400 bell sound! Surprised to hear it

4969 - A rocket! Flew up city road. My first time on one of the 74 branded ones, thought it'd be a tired slug

6804 - Unfortunately seems to have lost that gorgeous growl it makes when idiling, thankfully some of the other 66 plates still do it, but it does still make some incredibly nice sounds! Sometimes it revs to about 2500RPM and when it does it's incredible!  The 66 plates and particularly this one have really grown on me, I'm so glad they transferred to WB

Yet another Scania has made its way to WB - 1838, to be dumped on the 12s/13s where they do not belong. I guess whoever allocates them wants us drivers to continue to always leave Colmore Row with a standing load and skip past the many people waiting at the next few stops

6992 had a very bad smash. Definitely will be out for a while. 6971 recently came back after having a collision with 6986 which is still off service

Don't like stop start. Especially annoying when it comes on before a hill start or at a busy junction

4963 - What an absolute rocket! Makes all sorts of nice sounds too. Brakes aren't as sharp as other 49s, and it doesn't jolt too. Contender for fastest bus I've driven, which is hard to believe considering its 49 siblings are mostly slugs

Dreading if that means an extra Scania transfer to WB. The 12/13s have more Scanias than ever allocated to them recently. The routes are crying out for more deckers not singles

Also noticed that annoying and to be frank stupid floor mounted door control. Cabs on platinums are like tiny cubicles, the thing just takes up much needed space, and I was also caught out by it a couple of times. But whilst 6804 is slow it sounds incredibly gorgeous! I'd take it over a quick but boring 69 plate.

4964 - Significantly improved since the last time I drove it. Still jolty at times but at least it doesn't struggle half as much

6804 - I'll have to review this again because it's quite different from last time. Lacked power today, especially when taking off. Driven a few of the 66 plate transfers and whilst they sound a lot nicer than the 68 & 19 plates, most seem to be tired and slow.

Quote from: Mike K on August 15, 2024, 10:20:35 PMExcuse my genuine ignorance on this but what's the difference between them? From a passenger perspective I honestly can't tell.

I can tell the difference between the early ZF MMCs and the later Voith ones, but the 66/67/68/19/69 reg ones all seem the same to me.
The 66 reg ones sound much nicer. The 19 reg ones are much more dull

Was hoping for more 66 reg Plattys to transfer to WB and I'm glad they are. Dreading if 19 reg ones do

4478 looks like it's in a bad state. Parts hanging off it, missing windows, crooked panels

6804 - A pleasure to drive. This sounds a bit different and nicer to the 68 and 19 reg MMCs that I'm used to. The idle is similar to the ZF MMC, very chuggy and gorgeous sounding! The pedals on it feel quite different too, a bit harder or something. Steering wheel is brand new! Makes a big difference. Very quick too, climbed City Road with ease
