Quote from: Stu on June 14, 2025, 10:09:09 AMThose are certainly interesting changes, I presume there will be some other associated changes to accommodate the withdrawal of the 12 and 13.

One complaint I often hear is of overcrowding on these routes, particularly between city centre and Bearwood. I would hope that from September, then there may be additional peak-time journeys added to timetables.
No need for extra boards imo. They're only overcrowded and skipping stops when singles are on, not an issue with deckers

Quote from: BBS on June 13, 2025, 01:22:09 AMI think I'd be more interested for my 74 to turn up rather than focusing on a specific bus and investigate why it hasn't came on the 74.
Why can't anyone make interesting observations without some miserable twit making obnoxious replies. Not everything has to revolve around your non-existent commute

Has 4970, a 74 branded bus, been banned from running on the 74 or something? Hasn't done a 74 run in over a month! There's no way that's a coincidence

Scania doors seem to be so prone to having issues

6818 now has the rear lights the 68/19 plates have.. but only on the offside. Looks horrible

Quote from: Jack on May 30, 2025, 01:12:45 PMHappy they aren't taking my money anymore!

Ironic when the drivers pay goes up they want to put the fares up!
I get where you're coming from but I just want to offer a bit of perspective from the driver's seat.

The recent pay rise isn't about getting rich, it's about making a fair living for a job that carries a lot of responsibility.

Also, fare changes are usually decided by management based on a mix of rising fuel, maintenance, and operating costs,  not just drivers wages. Drivers don't set the fares, and many of us want the service to be affordable too.

They already seemed to have paused them. Many of the West Brom 4900s are in desperate need of a refurbishment and repaint. A few received it last year but none so far this year.

The 12s and 13s needed deckers for years but it seemingly suffers from more Scanias than ever

6986 currently being debranded

4481 now has a slipping gearbox! Sounds astonishing, never thought I'd hear a slipping B7 again

I saw one of the grey 47s getting a brand new engine a few weeks ago, mostly likely 4769. So it probably has a whole new engine nevermind just a gearbox

4775 in service today on the 80

6972 now debranded

6974 had a smash this afternoon at Smethwick

Quote from: Zander on April 14, 2025, 05:32:53 AMWB have lost the 20/20a from 1st June, not sure whose got those, 48 is changing too from the same date, will be doing West Brom to Northfield, as it is now to the University Station then will be doing the 76 route to Northfield.
48a is also being completely scrapped. The Bearwood rota is taking a massive hit cos will be sharing the 74 and 80 with the soho rota to.
Wouldn't it therefore be pointless having the Bearwood rota at that point? Exactly the same as Soho

Quote from: tombzy on April 13, 2025, 09:50:59 PMWith the 20 supposedly going to BC Garage how would that impact the interworking that the 48 20 and 20A have.
I doubt it will due to the three routes interworking but it could happen.
That's not what's going to happen. BC will have a new route

You'd be surprised how many of these chancers there are out there.

Had a drunk passenger tell me she was going to sue and that I need to be careful with brakes after she fell... when I took off from traffic lights! Thought she wasn't serious about it until the company called me for details about the incident because she tried to sue! Obviously she had zero leg to stand thanks to CCTV
