Quote from: Mega Kickdown on March 29, 2025, 09:40:41 PMif they got the 74 to town the 52 would be birminghams most unreliable bus with no drivers showing up half the time because they are stuck on soho road!
Most likely why the use the metro.

Quote from: ZF B7 on March 15, 2025, 09:07:28 AM6808 on 52 today, so it's not strictly single deck as we were led to believe. Wonder if the dead mileage and the pay for drivers' travel time to city is worth it
So much for 'Strict Scania' when they had LWB and SWB E200's on it when they got it.

Quote from: BBS on March 11, 2025, 12:29:24 AM6 - Birmingham to Solihull
4 - Birmingham to Solihull
60 - Birmingham to Cranes Park
97/A - Birmingham to Chelmsley / Airport and NEC
101 - Birmingham to Handsworth
11A/C - Outer circle

Do you know what scenic means?

The X12/13 are scenic. The X14 along Eachelhurst Road and Springfield Road is a lovely section. Probably the nicest route in Perry Barr.

The (4)5(1) and 16A along the Newton Road too.

The X3 past Hill Hook.

Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on March 11, 2025, 01:31:06 PMDon't NX have anything like this, if they do surely it would make more sense for WMT to use them as NX are local
Why? Any operator can do chose to do it? I don't think passengers are bothered about who's buses they are?

Quote from: Mega Kickdown on March 09, 2025, 11:52:46 PMyea, i doubt anyone uses it + it goes against the deadrun route

surely would be quicker to go great barr then 5 route to WB than thru handsworth
Take it you don't live here or have used the route. There is people who use it in the evenings, the short trips are positioning trips but there is also people who do get off on Walsall Road and connect to the 51 late in the evening, I know because i've done it plenty of times in the past.

The dead run from Perry Barr to West Brom isn't long at all, West Brom run dead to places further like Sutton Coldfield. So there is a point in the short late night run, it's a handy link that is used.

Quote from: BBS on February 23, 2025, 08:25:32 PMWasn't Homer road and Herbert road used by the 5,6,31 etc? Until they all suddenly left those 2 roads
The 6, 49, 76 briefly used Herbert Road and Homer Road in 2015 when public realm was being completed. The 5 used to leave Solhull via New Road and Church Hill Road.

Quote from: 2206 on February 22, 2025, 12:29:58 AMI think Welsh House Farm/Rilstone Road area.
When it was at BC they used to use B7RLEs on there a lot though I remember.

They used to miss out the estate if it was B7's and I'm sure that was the case when Omnilinks made appearances on the 636.

Quote from: 2206 on February 16, 2025, 01:20:32 PMI think it was in the early 2000s & the 952 ran from Walsall as well during 2018.
Before the current incarnation of the route via Lozells though (old 46).
Tony's bottom pictures of 4307/8/9 are on there when at Walsall.
The 52 was at Walsall till at least 2005. Tony has a photo of WA B6 on the 52 back in 2005, can't remember which one. WA's Tridents and Presidents was the main allocation. Then it went back to PB and it was a mixture of B7TL's and Metrobuses.

Then the 952 in its final few months was WA.

Quote from: 2206 on February 15, 2025, 05:51:06 PMThe 52 at PB has diesel Scanias on it nearly everyday Monday to Friday and there's nothing wrong with E400s either.
The 52 gets whatever goes. The Electrics are nice but the seating downstairs is naff and not popular with passengers so the Diesals will be welcome back. Won't be surprised to see an E200 turn up at some point.

I saw a comment about dead mileage, WB run dead to and from Kingstanding and Sutton, so Great Barr is nothing for them.

Quote from: BBS on February 12, 2025, 04:31:51 PMthis is a suggestion, wouldn't it be better to provide added frequency on the X1 between BHX and the City Centre? Maybe more journeys operated by BC to boost frequency and reduce overcrowding?
It would be greatly appreciated, the X1 Shorts are well overdue a return.

Quote from: Steve3229vp on February 09, 2025, 08:16:31 PMFrom March the 3/3A (West Brom-Blackheath/Merry Hill) will move to Pensnett and the 52 (City-Perry Beeches) will move to West Bromwich
Interesting, be nice to see Diesel Deckers on the 52 again, preferably the Gemini!

Quote from: Appleby on February 06, 2025, 09:57:34 PMWhy does west brom do the x8 in the morning. Plus how would it work eg does the drivers on specific rotas/route need to do it or just a free for all whoever gets picked.
They've done that for years it goes back to them doing a board on the 140/241.

Quote from: BBS on February 03, 2025, 11:06:33 AMThey had them for the emergency tendered 99,A12. They came from igo who went into administration, then Acocks Green got some E200s.
They had them before the 99 and A12 came, they was often on the 4 and 5/73 and the 31.

I've asked Simon to look at the problem & he's looked at it.

End of.

Why do certain people have to take the #### ?

Maybe because you seem to moan constantly!
