Unless I have missed it, I haven't seen anything on VOSA website since the original application to withdraw. But, obviously you have to wait for any reg to get to Leeds and for them to process it.

It reopened at the end of 2009 and I first used it a few months later in May 2010

A very impressive facility, can't fault it at all.

Reading this i have vague memories of the 35 route been different to what it is now, can someone remind me of what this used to be and when the changes occurred?

Check out Peter123's comment above. The 35 for a time used to extend fromPool Farm and Hawkesley all the way round the then 27 route to terminate in Kings Heath where it had already passed through. So it went from Birmingham to Kings Heath via Kings Heath!

Blaze Park in Wall Heath always struck me as being one of a kind in that arae, as I always associated these purpose built turning places as being more closely associated with the old Corporations. Yet I have a Midland Red timetable from 1959 which shows buses terminating there on the 261.

The 255E journeys still terminate there today.

I first discovered this place as we turned and waited time there when I travelled in the mid 1990's on a Metrobus on the then 259 route, this was was one of those routes introduced between Wolverhampton and Dudley after Dudley And Hartshill garages closed down. This was as opposed to the 259 that ran between Stourbridge and Wall Heath between 2008-2010.

If we go by window etching then the routes served by BC, AG and YW seem the worst by far. With regard to the 11, I got fed up seeing all the buses in the new livery but totally spoiled by the idiots who had damaged the windows.

Ahhh the Bull Ring Bus Station. Even now every time I get a sniff of diesel or exhaust fumes in a confined space I remember that place. Awful lighting and ventilation, horrible toilets and one wall in a foul yellow colour for Midland Express.

Yet many happy memories of catching the 120 or 140 to visit either set of grandparents or or catching the X20 back to Stratford with my parents to where we used to live at the time!

There used to be WM Buses minibus route that I can remember in the nineties which I think was numbered 44. It travelled down the Pershore Road then cut through Selly Park and came out by Cadbury's. YourBus also ran a route, possibly the 53Y? That also served this area.

Like the 84/85 though they disappeared leaving the area with this whole situation of no direct route to the City.

Anyone know what's happened to 4177?  Not seen it or new photo's of it for a while?

Or have I just kept missing it? :)

Still on the 97, saw it one day last week.

I understand that Centro is teaming up with NXWM to paint a bus is a special livery to mark both events, Centro are paying half the costs. So keep 'em peeled for whichever bus it may be.

Don't remember them trying to merge those routes, but could be wrong. Didn't WMB/TWM introduce the 447 in competiton with BCC's 221?

Yeah, WMB just used to operate the 448 which I think as now was every half hour, and then the 447 was introduced with I think 3 buses per hour to combat the 221.

Isn't the 101 getting re-routed in August anyway?  :)

It will stay the same route but lose the stop in Colmore Row! The new main stop will be at the top of Livery Street and a new stop will be introduced too in Newhall Street supposedly near to the Colmore Row junction.

Do NXWM 101 serve the markets now or is it just V.I.P

No, NXWM just serve the area around Colmore Row now.

Unless NXWM adopt the all over red livery then it looks like everything will be red & white.

But, Ray Stenning of the Best Impressions agency who design for Go-Ahead, Stagecoach and Trent amongst others was spotted attending meetings with NX Bus Directors yesterday at the Coach Station. So maybe watch this space for another new livery....

Lea Hall is currently under offer to be sold on, and an Engineering Firm are planning to move in if all goes to plan.

looks like the X31 is gonna be saved by Centro & staffordshire county council, in a revised form

Will Arriva still operate this route then  ;D

Depends what is agreed, if Arriva are offered a de-minimus subsidy they will still operate it, otherwise is can go out to open tender to all operators to bid.
