Nobody...NOBODY!  must post a link to this site on that page!  :-X

It's great, when you have a collection of 'enthusiasts', like ourselves, who have somewhere to congregate and share ideas and discuss matters sensibly.

If you could somehow keep some of the nutters from the NXWM Facebook page away, then it would stay great.  ;D

It's quite rare that I ever need to travel to the airport.  ::)

Even so, its no problem for me to just jump on the 11A to Swan Island, and then jump on a 900/900E if ever the need arises!  ;D

Also, there are plans to extend the Midland Metro, along the Coventry Road to the AIrport. Not for a few years yet though!

Nope, still no good. Seem to be missing a 'Post Event' button.

They must have acquired some new (!) buses then. Maybe Tony can find out more?

You can rename the forum in the Admin panel (can you tell I've used SMF myself before?).

As for adding a link to the menu bar, I think that may involve editing the template file, but I can't be 100% sure on that. I'm a co-admin on another forum that uses SMF, and we added extra links to our menu bar, I'll find out how we did it and let you know!

Can't add events to the calendar! I think you need to edit permission settings somewhere.

You could maybe 'jazz' up the forum a little, like rename it from the default 'My Community' to something a little more meaningful, like "West Midlands Buses Community".

Also, adding a link in the Forum menu bar back to the 'main page' could help with navigation.

Isn't the guestbook a little defunct now? Maybe it could be killed off, and that might encourage more people to join the forum.

Probably not enough demand really.

The 58 was revised to serve parts of the withdrawn 42, and to restore a direct link from Small Heath to Solihull, which the 957 doesn't provide. Journeys to Sheldon were improved with the 957 and the increased frequency on the 60.

The 38 used to run between Birmingham and the Airport, via Acocks Green and Olton, but was withdrawn due to low passenger usage. Likewise, Silverline's S12 service, which partially replaced the 38, also met an undignified end.

I guess most people travelling to the Airport either go by train, or get a taxi.

I don't know how it will be 'policed' as such, but it looks like something all bus operators have already agreed to.

Probably only a temporary measure then! Walsall will lose a number of B6LEs which should be replaced with some B10Ls from AG.

Also it helps when buses are washed frequently too. ;-)

I did read somewhere before that NXWM were also investing in new bus-washing facilities at their garages.

We already covered this already in this topic, if the Plaxton Presidents are to transfer anywhere, it would be for routes that don't serve Birmingham city centre, as after Summer 2012 when the new emissions requirements for public transport vehicles come into force, the Presidents will be unsuitable.

BC have been sending Presidents to AG, and WB have been swapping their Presidents for AG's Geminis.
