Quote from: Stu on March 30, 2024, 05:52:13 PMI imagine there were a fair few people who did take advantage, and that might be a reason for their withdrawal.

However I find it interesting that the Warwick Uni hop appears to be being retained by NX Coventry, while the Birmingham equivalent is going.

Maybe its down to lack of use as well? I always imagined that uni students without cars would probably have bus passes anyway, if they weren't cycling everywhere.

Perhaps the Warwick Uni hop is better used, and worth keeping, or maybe it is funded by University Of Warwick?

I used to see loads of these sold on the X21/X22 between the City and Selly Oak. Including at the student accommodation at Vale Village as well. So i'd strongly doubt that it is lack of use. And i'd doubt the cycling is that popular as well.

I'd suspect its more the later as Warwick University also fund the 41/42 services.

Quote from: Dababa015 on March 29, 2024, 06:54:23 AMIs it possible to have regular optare solos on the A15 route or is it just too much of a hassle, i know we already get frequently solo srs but theres just something I like about regular optare solos
The A15 is ran from Redditch depot not Tividale.
20885 is based at Redditch and according to gov.uk euro 6 and CAZ compliant. But thats the only one they seem to have.
According to bus times it spend most of its time on the 62.

Whats happened to 4625 @Tony? Off the road since October? At over 19 years old, will we see this one in service again?

Quote from: MasterPlan on March 20, 2024, 10:27:13 PMWhere is stop 'BT1' exactly? Maybe I'm being a bit thick, but it isn't really clear from how it's described what route it will take.
The old X61 stop by the millenium point.

Quote from: Stu on March 20, 2024, 07:25:35 PMSeems like a strange 'swap', unless there is some other reason for this, to do with 4722 being in a heritage livery?

(Upcoming photo-shoot or private hire?)

Something to do with 100 years of the 9?  As they added 1924 - 2024 to the displays I think?

Quote from: Stu on March 20, 2024, 07:14:14 PMTrack works across Moor Street Queensway from 7th April 'until Autumn'.
There will be various stop closures and diversions during that time:

Changes to bus stops in Birmingham City Centre | NX Bus West Midlands
So the X21/X22 are moving to Park Street then and 61/63 finishing at New Street Station and will then pickup at MS8A then u turning at St Michaels Church.
With the Perry Barr services moving to the current X21/X22 stop and 66 moving to next to the 94/95.

Quote from: Steve3229vp on March 18, 2024, 07:40:17 PMThis is my point, I just think route branding's time has probably come and gone, if it was to continue I  would suggest group branding eg
Unless any of the grey repaints E400 and MMC receive new branding maybe, which will still be in service for several years at least.
Could we see a new version of the Soho Road branding on the E400s for instance once they are all in grey or  branding on the BC ones.

Quote from: JPC on March 17, 2024, 01:10:19 PMthe only exception to this is the NXCov Student ticket which I think only exists because Stagecoach has a similar product.
It looks like this is why Coventry seem to have a cheaper monthly/termly pass as stagecoach seem to run this ticket

But i'm sure the NX one covers journey options stagecoach don't do, such as Coventry to Uni of Warwick hence the dotted line.

Quote from: Rachvince53 on March 16, 2024, 11:09:54 AMYou would need a Daysaver Extra. Normal daysaver (aka nBus) is not valid beyond the West Midlands boundary on the X51.
The impression I got was that the N Bus is valid on all services including nx services over the boundary, but if you were to board the X13/891 in Coleshill  or X51 in Cannock you'd be given a daysaver extra with them being out of the area?

"Unlimited travel on all bus operators within the nBus zone and on all National Express buses.
Our drivers are unable to give change so if you pay with cash please use the exact fare."

Quote from: Tony on March 15, 2024, 03:15:04 PM4938 has been dead in BC garage for 8 days with an air leak
It must have been 4939 then that wasn't tracking at all on the 21:45 from the city centre on Tuesday night @Tony as it had black branding.
Since Wednesday that one has been tracking as a 97, while not actually on the 97.

4938 on the 21:45 94 this evening.

Quote from: Tony on March 12, 2024, 09:12:28 PMDefinitely not the way forward, have a look at any advert wrap and you will see it peeling or bits missing after a few months. Quality painting will last for 7-8 years. Both cost around the same
4946 still carriers the red advert, although with  reference to KFC removed from it.
Will these be next in for repaint? If so I look forward to seeing 4946 in the new livery.

I'd guess these might be the last diesel double deckers to run from PB. Withdrawn late this year or early next year maybe.
