The number '15' is available. The northern leg of the 13 I refer to - and harks back to pre-April 1985 when the 15 did run to Whitmore Park!

Yes, quite unusual. Even seeing Wright Gemini double deckers has become quite rare. Looks like 4576 was on the 17.

If Bustimes is correct, then Coventry have no fewer than 4 Tridents in service today, which I think is pretty rare for a Sunday, especially with the influx of electrics. Can anyone confirm? Many thanks

With SC getting more routes in Coventry could SC also have their eyes on the NXC 85 (was an MDC service) route to Rugby? SC have been running the Sunday service for a while anyway and also have the 86 route to Rugby.

It depends if NXC run this commercially or all or part of the service is tendered. If it is the former then it would rely on NX giving up a run-for-profit service.

The idea presumably was to make the routes seem to be more local to bus users in the way that the old corporation buses were rather than part of a vast organisation.  In theory it should work well but as noted, information can be confusing not to just potential and current passengers but to those who work in the industry.

Obviously this isn't so much of a problem here in Coventry! I think there has been two different service 18's and possibly two 48's at the same time. Currently there are two 55's - but one of those is a NXC Schools service (and the other a Stagecoach service into Warwickshire) so no major issue.

Perhaps have a separate number for each and every service - but drop the area/district identifiers (so no 2xx for the Dudley area etc) but just ensure each different service has its own unique number. A bit like the London area perhaps.

Yes, ok. Tony mentioned 836 moving to Wolves from PN, but has 2093 still at WN - but as you say, that move is still to come.

A total of 1416 excluding withdrawn/reserve/trainers. I've put 1860/87 as WB buses for the time being.

Stagecoach website now with full timetables. 20A seems to just be 3 evening departures to the hospital (21.00, 22.00, 23.00) from Trinity Street and back again at each half hour. 51 includes the current 1, 5 and 20C to extend to the hospital in the daytime, giving Coundon and Radford a direct service to the hospital not seen since the outer circle was cut. The one thing which has confused me is the stop labelled "Coundon Bablake School" which i presume is a typo for Westhill Road/Courtland Avenue where the 1 currently terminates. Hopefully this service will get more patronage with the extra links so it doesn't get given the same fate as many other routes in the city.

The school grounds on Hollyfast Rd/Westhill Rd belongs to Bablake School. The school house is opposite Gaveston Road.

Just seen a post on the coventry bus page saying 4417 has been withdrawn

and 4668 (both were on Tony's list of 'might be gone before new year').

Seems there is a part-replacement for the loss of the 3 between the Warwickshire Shopping park and UHCW.

According to Bustimes, Route 16 is Coventry city centre or Coventry - Keresley village. This implies that
destinations displaying Coventry or the absurd via Coventry are not destined for or going through the city
centre, so where are they going ?

Buses carry 'Coventry' inbound and 'Keresley Village' outbound and 'via Radford Road' both ways, as far as I can remember.

No news yet from "Mission (lack of Coventry understanding) Control" at TfWM in Brum. Sounds like no other realistic suitable service will happen?

See above. Sounds like this new '51' is replacing a number of withdrawn services. Not sure about the 3 segment though.
