The new Stagecoach liveries and brand have been officially revealed today
https://m.stagecoach.com/media/news-releases/2020/2020-01-30.aspx
Note the livery shown on the E400 appears to be a special livery with all three colours on it.
Azure Blue will be for local
Amber yellow for longer distance
Ocean green for specialist - P&Rs, Busway etc
I like the idea of the three liveries and I like the colours chosen. One downside is the large amount of white, especially on the lower panels. Here in the West Midlands we all know what the fleet will end up looking like!
I'll review the Emperor's new clothes in two words. One is 'awful', whilst the first one begins with a 'F' ....
Just seen the new livery on 15720. Can't say I'm a fan of it if I'm being honest.
I guess this is why there are countless numbers of Stagecoach buses driving around Cambridgeshire in a plain lime green colour? They were due for repainting and got caught out by COVID.

Personal opinion. It looks just as awful in real life as it does in that photo.
Still not seen it in the flesh yet. Started off with a dislike for it but it's growing on me. Don't like the different versions of the front end on the E400s. Should be the same nationwide, it's like they are trying to make every bus look similar to the MMCs with the black headlights. But Some have the black lights, some blue, then some have the lower grille blue, then some white. Saw this picture (attached) yesterday of a Bluebird E400 and this is the best version of the new livery, how the E400s usually look in the beachball livery
I do like the new long distance yellow livery maybe more than the standard version
Magic bus livery is good, but the yellow front logo is terrible and personally should be white, as the side logo is blue on white so it should be reverse of that

Quite like it but let's face it anything is better than the current crop of awful colours that look awful a few weeks after a repaint

It's better than the current white one. And of a level with current NX grey repaints.

I'm not sure what I think of it, it's very dull, I think I prefer the stagecoach local livery, or the stagecoach beachball, this new livery I can only assume it's been done to save money on new repaints by putting them in 1 colour and then assume the rest is vinaled

I doubt if anyone wants to follow that ghastly dull grey on the NX fleet. Bring back the red, or light blue in Coventry !

the reason local has been replaced is apparently due to "the complexity of the local livery meant increased downtime due to repaints and repainting and colour matching damaged panels is a challenge" hence the very simple livery this time around.

Yeah I get the fact of it being simple but it's dull it's a shame they couldn't of kept it white like stagecoach local livery but done it similar to the new livery instead of using black use white so it's not changing the livery but more adapting the livery to make it same in some sort. I can see it being easier by just painting them one colour and then adding vinals, I mean black is still good and again simple with the vinals but it would of made sence and made people not get confused as easy if it was all white with the vinals instead of changing the whole colour if that makes sense.

When it's 30 degrees and no AC then you aren't lasting in that bus

There could be TWO issues for SC buses using a black livery.
1. On the road black really shows up the dirt and so buses will require more frequent washing.
2. There should be a clear colour difference between operators. I reckon black livery is too close to the NXWM / NXC grey livery and passengers will become confused. I wonder what TfWM would say?

I've lost count of the numbers of Enviros in my area(South Wales)that have plain white skirting panels.

Except it's not black, it's blue, the same blue Birmingham used to use,

Well it looks like black to me in the photo!
Is it a case that the 'new blue' is in fact black or should I make an appointment at Specsavers?
What do others think?

I think the colour difference is a case of lighting. Until recently, I thought the skirt of BCT livery was black (only seen 4651 and preserved 2222 and 3225 in lower light, which makes it look black), but seeing pictures of them in brighter light make it appear more blue.
Just wondering why 84024 has been painted in the new colours when it operates in Manchester

I'm presuming it was painted as it had an overall and removed which may have damaged the paint, but as these are rumoured as transferring with the depot to Metroline blue does seem a strange choice
Just wondering about the buses painted in the new livery, is it just a trial or is it the way forward as there is an image uploaded yesterday of 80056 in the old colours or is it just that it was in build when the new colour were introduced

All the 800xx were built before a decision on the new livery
