Which routes do you want upgraded with MMC's next year? If you've got a route that's not on the list then please post the route number. Big thanks in advance!
I would most likely expect the 126 to be the first route in line for the next order. Its been crying out for new buses!

But aren't the ex PE Enviros nominally supposed to work on the 16?

Sorry
@Stuharris 6360, that was supposed to read
126!
NX said they'd order 600 vehicles in 2014 - 2018. But they said the 58 Platinums weren't part of the deal so it really is 658 vehicles and if I subtract 100 vehicles from 2014 and 171 from 2015 then you get 387 left for 2016, 2017 & 2018. Which could be split into 129 buses for each year or 137 for next year and 125 for 2017 & 2018. Which could be split up into 5, 6 or more groups for different routes. So providing there are no single decks next year then all of those routes can upgraded along with maybe YW2/3 or WB80 or even 127/8/9.

I agree!!!
The 126 before the 94 or 97 ::) sounds about right lo
In all honesty all new buses will be for birmingham routes as they need to be eu emissions compliant in 2017 so 97 etc will be upgraded so the early tridents need to be evicted to 30 mins frequency routes or cascaded on. I have a feeling 18 tridents are going to WN to see off the spectras and keep fleet numbers in batches
I have a hunch that the Euro 4 engines ALX 400s will be used past 2017, maybe they will all go onto one route. Seems a waste not to use them when they've been re-engined. I think you'll see a lot of cascades particularly at BC/YW
The 61/3 doesn't deserve new buses.
Most of these are ALX400's and I understand that they are over 10 years ago but they are awesome buses
As a frequent traveler of the 97, I'd like to see it upgraded ! Too long have we rode Tridents !
Why are no Dundee routes included in the "vote"?

Because Dundee get WM cast off's :P

Exactly. But we have several routes that could do with new DOUBLE DECK buses, to cascade SINGLE DECK buses to other routes, and dare I suggest it, cascade other SINGLE DECK buses to routes in Birmingham.

You won't send cast offs to Birmingham, unless there the Eclipse2's or Geminis.

To be fair Dundee's single deck fleet will be fairly modern once the remaining B10L & B10BLE have been withdrawn.
Which routes are you suggesting would benefit from double deckers ?
They've still got solos

Yes, but they will be replaced before the B10s, so Winston's statement is correct
The 15/17, 22, 28/29 could benefit from double deckers. Possibly the 32/33 too

The trouble is, I doubt WM have much of a need for any cascaded single deckers from Dundee. Come the end of this year the oldest single decker at NXWM will be 56 plate B7RLE's assuming some stay.

The Double deck to Single deck ratio will increase in the next few months at Dundee, so I suspect at least one of the routes will be converted
Does anyone think that the 11A/C requires new buses ?! You'd think that the longest route is allocated buses which do a lot more than 6MPG (Presidents).

It's being upgraded into Geminis slowly but surely.

Do you know how many MPG newer buses do?

My apologies for not doing my homework but having read a small report on Reading Buses MMC's, they achieve ....... 6.3mpg :-X
I genuinely thought especially all the Enviros they'd be hitting double figures at the very least. I'm somewhat shocked.

I am pretty sure the Presidents do more than 6mpg. Fleetlines and similar did more than that without the newer engines. I think more like 12-15 would be likely.
The 11 is the only route that the presidents are suited to due to emissions in city centre. However there are definitely more geminis appearing on the 11 now

Not forgetting that they're on the 1, 73 and 966 as well.

@Trident 4194 No its not! The AG1, YW18, the YW49, the AG73, the YW76 and the AG966 are just as suited to using Presidents as they don't enter the city centre (the 1 only serves Broad St), or in the case of the 73, have a frequency that's low enough to not count (30mins or less)

Yes
@Alex but the 11 has the highest pvr which means more are going to appear n the 11
I managed 9mpg in an Omnilink today, just for about 15 seconds, but nearly double digits haha.

I don't think so mate ;) 61 plates are enough for the 33!
Surely the 126 is next in line for an upgrade?
I think the 126 will definitely get buses next year many people use that service they should of upgraded it instead of the 9 but they were doing to much miles or something like that
I thought the suttons except the 907 could get new buses and the 33 and the enviros could cascade to the 65, 67 and 94 and the euro 4 enviros could go on the 907 instead of the 7, only leaving the 7 for newer buses. I also thought the 51 could get upgraded (along with the 33) and the buses from that could cascade to the 7 at PB and BC

The Sutton's only had new buses in the last 18 months, they don't need more new buses. There are far more deserving routes!

Although I was talking to someone at PB on Monday and he said PB are getting the next batch of MMC's (I think standard ones) and they might be going on the Sutton's.

There are no more standard MMC's due until next year at the earliest
And they will most likely be for 126 also buttons have got 63 reg bus and also a arson recently so don't think be doing that for a couple more year

I'm assuming you mean Suttons rather than a Cinderella pantomime character having 63 reg buses? There seems to be a lot of speculation about the 126 no doubt fuelled by the crimson livery promotional pictures, but there are also other routes crying out for new buses such as the 61/63, 97 etc.
I don't think a random arson attack would have a bearing on where new buses go. Look at 4014 on the 50, which gets a new set of buses on a fairly regular basis.

45/7 is expected to get the cascaded Enviros from the 900/57 but I get the feeling 61/3 won't get anything. It all depends on next years batch of Enviro 400 MMCs and where they will end up

Yes that is what i'm saying.......
I recon next years order will consist of MMC's for the 61/3 and 126.
Obviously a route doesn't have to have competition providing cheaper, new cleaner buses to provide enough reason for an upgrade in over 13 years, but heigh what do i know ::)
