Bus times has it tracking in Error. It was a ex Arriva Dart tracking as that E200

Ever consider the possibility of 'force of habit'? I would of course expect drivers to be fully aware of any route change before they start their duty, however bus drivers are also human just like the rest of us.

normally if there a planned diversion on route the diversion route is always on the clipboard that shows the running board for the bus so surely the route changes have to be on there too so probably careless drivers not reading it or drivers not telling other drivers most likely

No. Route changes are done in the garage route learning on a bus with the DTOs Drivers on the rota will have to do it this way, as well as anyone wanting to do the 55/94 as overtime

I was responding to a comment about the 4 / 4A services. Which in turn was a response to a comment that Tony made.

So it is fair to assume that:

• vehicles without necessary equipment won't have next stop announcements
• vehicles with the necessary equipment will only have next stop announcements where all routes have been programmed in

7513 is a PB vehicle, and may not yet have all NSA data imported for all PB routes. 55 is a BC service, using BC vehicles, so you can't just assume that this service doesn't have such NSA on that basis.

7513 I think is one of our buses that the announcements don't work at all

You've got to think from the point of view of a passenger! Would you rather take a fast bus that is older and has less features! Or would you rather take a modern platinum bus with free WiFi, USB charging ports that would take 10 to 15 mins longer?

For one the Walsall Plattys don't have USB charging, and two the majority of normal passengers don't really care about the features of the bus as long as it gets them to their destination, and also some people might be drawn to the 1 as it won't be as busy as the X51 so they may feel more comfortable on the 1 for social distancing
