30 more vehicles have been sold to PVS. First two to leave are 1541 & 1577

Reserve fleet are having a big clearout then before the new buses arrive/the next lot are withdrawn

Is the LH yard still going to be used long term?
im not too sure about LH but there is still some withdrawn B10s,B6s and Mercs parked at the back

Thanks for that, thought there were still a decent amount stored outside in the yard

I understand it's fairly standard practice to remove engines from withdrawn buses prior to being scrapped. In the case of the 0405N's, the engines out of those may well being removed as spares for the operational fleet. I can't see there being a demand elsewhere in the UK for them, as TWM were unique in placing a fleet order for the type

I noticed in my Hockley days when mark one metro buses that were scrapped from the garage had there engines removed to be sold on for use as generators  and even placed in boats , that's wot the engineers told us drivers.  I assumed there might be some after  Life  for the big brute merc engine, man those buses had power to fly up hills,  city road 120 service no problem flew up that hill.

You may well be right, I've seen the Miller St flatbed lorry loaded up with removed engines in the past, destination unknown

That should clear a bit of room at Pensnett, notice how there's no B10L's going.

Wonder if any Spectra's will end up at PE for the reserve?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

4013 is now withdrawn @ WN

Another one bites the dust

I assume West Bromwich garage old darts will find new homes rather than a trip to Pvs , Independant operators do like them for some strang reason even though they are complete and utter sheds .

Tony

1413 is another withdrawal, now at Miller Street

mranon

if nxwm could sell anything i would think it would be a dart - especially with a wright or alexander body over a plaxton one. with small operators needing to go to low floor dda soon. looking at a certain local operator, they probably are much better condition than their latest acquisitions!!!
