Seeking Euro 6 updates....

With the recent demise of 4572 and 4633, are the vehicles listed below the remaining vehicles at PL that don't meet Euro 6 emission standards, required for Wolverhampton AQPS?

4311, 4425, 4427, 4428, 4429, 4431, 4432, 4433, 4434, 4435
4436, 4438, 4440, 4441, 4442, 4443, 4445, 4448, 4464, 4536
4537, 4538, 4539, 4540, 4541, 4542, 4553, 4556, 4558, 4559
4560, 4561, 4562, 4563, 4577, 4619, 4634

This fleet of 37 vehicles has an average age of 19 years and according to data sourced from each vehicle via NXWM BODS feed, the 39 vehicles mentioned have provided between 20-27% of NXWM journeys in/out Wolverhampton City Centre - Mon to Sat - during the summer time table.

In the past week (Mon-Sat), the above 37 vehicles provided an average of 22% of total journeys scheduled, where 88% of the schedule was successfully tracked. The missing 12% of the schedule, is due to missing / incomplete / incorrect readings. Also included are the trips made by 4348, 4566, 4567, 4578 from WA on W9, the only NXWM route that does not use PL vehicles working to/from Wolverhampton City Centre. I assume these WA vehicles are not Euro 6 compliant either?

I would imagine those non euro 6 vehicles will be replaced imminently with various cascades, with the new electric fleet at Coventry growing in size weekly.

6955 on the X8 Dudley to Blackheath yesterday. Noticed it has Red upper wrapper instead of the purple it had in Coventry. Thought the purple would match the regular 67xx's on the X8.
Everything inside still registering Coventry though.

Standard price branding.
Not sure why it would be purple. Its not an X8 branded bus so can be used anywhere as well as the 8/X8. Including regular trips on the 529, 15/16.

There was a time when price branded vehicles were done in the same colour as rest of corridor it operated on, makes sense to use one colour as you say use any where

4988 on 529 and 4995 on X8.

4990 and 4995 have been debranded from the Coventry 13.

You have to wonder why some drivers bother!

Take today's driver of 6769 on the 529 for instance.

Whether this is still a Nx requirement,  or whether he's doing it for himself,  before letting passengers on, he's generally tidying the vehicle, including opening all the windows to let air through.

Within 5 minutes, at least 2 downstairs windows were shut, presumably because the passengers concerned were cold!

So no one gives a 4x about Covid then?

I believe Covid is more manageable now than when it first started, the Flu and other winter bugs are having a sesh ATM. It's up to the passengers if windows stay open.

The thing is endemic now, and everyone has either been jabbed, had a bout of it and developed natural immunity, or declined to take the shots; so as a society we have to get back to normal.  If people so desire they can take other precautions for themselves, and a minority still do, but really speaking, keeping cosy on public transport in winter is probably rather popular to be honest!

Don't you start.
