Very sad, condolences to colleagues and family. If you MUST use a bus , sit on your own and stay away from the platform 'til the bus stops please.

If my old brain is correct, the 114 to Sutton Coldfield, which was based at Miller St after Sutton garage closed, terminated at the Bull Ring bus station.

Think the Driving Staff and the Supervisors deserve a pat on the back for keeping the Services running, in the circumstances.

I wonder, will the 46 double back in Perry Barr to pick up passengers in One Stop en route to City ?? I can see that the elderly citizens of Beeches Estate and Booths Farm may be displeased with that arrangement.

Yes, prospective trainees had their initial assessment there. This was to see if they were suitable for training in the old WMPTE days.

Have to agree with Barry 619, was taught to pause in ''neutral'' on upward changes and, give a slight rev in ''neutral on downward changes.   Made for much smoother changes.   Was good enough to get through the test.

Yes, the Fleetline had to be driven and not aimed!   Before I get howls of protest, I accept there wasn't so much traffic on the road then.  A magnificent machine though, and, when you got the pedal to the metal, it actually moved.   No delays in moving off like there is now.

GB-BG website down because the person who managed the web-site basically walked out.  no-one found to take it over yet.  However new Bus Books will appear in the future.   More than one person went to pastures new at short notice, leaving the club in the lurch.  They are recovering slowly.

That,s a good idea P419EJW withdrawing the 952.   So, the residents of Perry Beeches, obviously don't require a bus service in your book then!!

Very sad when this happens. My thoughts go out to Family and Colleagues at this distressing time.
