Anyone got any info on the 58 service that this DeCourcey Leopard is operating on?

The streetlight looks very much like a classic Birmingham one due to the style of the metal column with it's resting arm, and the fitting on top is a Birmingham style "Chinese Hat" one.

However I can't recall DeCourcey ever being on the Birmingham 58, of which the Coventry Road services is the only one I can think of.

First / Not the FTR
June 24, 2015, 10:02:31 PM
After departing from York, the FTR vehicles in Swansea are now to be withdrawn:

I expect Leeds will continue to operate theirs for a time as they were only refurbished a couple of years ago.

First / First Cymru - Service Number Changes
March 24, 2015, 09:02:45 PM
Congratulations to First Cymru who are reversing the trend of what is happening in the West Midlands.

Realising that it is possibly confusing to have duplicate route numbers for one operator in  the same area, most services in Bridgend will be renumbered to avoid confusion with services in nearby Swansea.

Well done First!  :-*

Arriva / Stafford Timetable Books
September 01, 2013, 11:24:07 AM
I was very briefly at Stafford Rail Station yesterday, and just had time between trains to go an pick up Timetables from the Arriva stand by the Ticket Counters.

I saw that it was full of "Stafford Area Bus Guide" leaflets and so picked one up and then went to catch my onward train. I perhaps naively assumed that like the other Area Guides it would contain all services within the town.

It was only when I got home that I realised that it only actually contained details of services to the South side of town such as the 1, 2 74, 825 etc. There were no timetables in it for other services such as the 5, 432/3. 12 etc, although these routes are actually shown on the Network Map inside.

Therefore does anybody know if this leaflet had an error in it and should have contained all services. Or, in fact are there several Timetable leaflets for Stafford? If it is the latter case and there are several different leaflets then there is absolutely no indication given of that either on the cover or inside!

Perhaps I picked up a rogue copy. Otherwise I feel that it should be made less confusing to passengers that the guide either only contains a few services, or that there are other guides available.

Stagecoach / MANs at Midland Red (South)
November 20, 2012, 09:09:32 PM
According to the latest  PSV Circle Bulletin sheets and Buses magazine, there are now 6 MAN single deckers in service with MR(S): 22459/60/920 at Rugby and 22768-70 at Banbury.

Anybody seen these in service yet and if so what routes are they being used on?

Thanks

I am sure that I heard that London Midland were going to speed up journeys on the Snow Hill lane once the 172 were delivered (they are) and when the re-signalling was completed on the Stourbridge - Worcester section of line (currently underway).

Therefore has anyone heard if there will be faster trains from December?

Certainly Chiltern look like they are making changes from December; for example a new train from Kidderminster at 0710 and the 0730 from Kidderminster will arrive at Snow Hill a few minutes  earlier from December:

If Optare Tempo 572 is now branded for the X6 to Leicester, what is happening to the Double Deckers that were previously branded for this service?
