5512 on 126, on the 22:03 out of Dudley towards Wolverhampton. Does that fit with when you saw the hybrid, Liverpool Street?

Pensnett was a mess today, with at least 3 Tridents (4195/7/8) on the 9, at least 2 B7s (2088/91) on the 246, 4193 on the X96 and 4823 on the 120. 4813 was also on the 276 earlier but then got moved back where it belongs, on the 9.

Meanwhile, Toothpaste Enviro 4735 was on the 40/41, probably the first time one's been into Wolverhampton Bus Station.

5512 was probably on the 126 all day as i never saw it on the 1 or 59. 4813 was replaced by 1516 at dudley with 4813 taken back to garage by an engineer

I think 4735 has the honour of being the first toothpaste enviro in wolverhampton bus station, a small part of my brains saying it isnt but we'll just say it is :)

Heard 2 drivers talking this afternoon, from what they said, PEs Mercs have been suffering badly with overheating of late. Routes like the 205 & X96 with very little or no layover time have suffered particularly badly. Caught the X96 this afternoon and the one i wanted didn't show up, it had been turned at Merry Hill to allow the bus to cool down.

Also the 246 has seen very poor timekeeping and last night several drivers on other routes were asked to do 246E between Dudley and Brierley Hill to try to keep a service running.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Well 4736 has done the 89 but that doesn't enter the station ;) They won't be toothpaste for longer now as they are the next buses from WA due for repaint/refurb

How did it do a 243? Thought there was a low bridge on the route

Nope there are no low bridges on the 243. Double deckers are kept off the 243 due to narrow roads

Trident 4609

Plus deckers aren't really needed on the 243/4 as it coped easily with B6's

It didn't always cope easily with B6s as they often got rammed full even when it's every 20 minutes.

However they said to him to literally "pick a bus", so he took a Trident ;)

Want to see one on the 205 now ;D

I do feel the 276 interworking with the 243/4 on an evening is silly. For the 276 which deserves DD especially at peaks, if DD shouldnt really be on the 243/4 then surely this is stopping some boards on the 276 really being able to have double deckers although tonight seems an exception. Hmmm.

hartshill busman 724210

Which part of the 276 is busy??i normally see it at the stourbridge end and it certainly does`nt need deckers then. So Dudle -Merry Hill or MH-Stourbridge.
