I do feel the 276 interworking with the 243/4 on an evening is silly. For the 276 which deserves DD especially at peaks, if DD shouldnt really be on the 243/4 then surely this is stopping some boards on the 276 really being able to have double deckers although tonight seems an exception. Hmmm.

Timetables fit together perfectly for minimal layover

Just been told that 4200 was on 276 and 243/4 this evening, you can guess who was driving ;)

Did 19:30 243, 20:45 276 and 23:00 244

How did it do a 243? Thought there was a low bridge on the route

Nope there are no low bridges on the 243. Double deckers are kept off the 243 due to narrow roads

I think it's more to do with the trees around timbertree, a DD is more manoeuvrable than a full size SD.

President on the 89 seen in Blackheath at about 10:20

Also at least 3 Mercs are on the 246 today - 1553, 1645 and one other which I forgot

1616 is on the 222, I assume today's bus covering for 825

Trident 4609

824 on the 243/4 today (Running up to 10 minutes late so was packed in Halesowen towards Hayley Green)

As there is obviously still good loads carried between Halesowen & Hayley Green on the 244, I still think NXWM should extend their 4H to take in the Hayley Green loop

Well me and Matt were infact talkinng about the same idea of extending the NX 4H to Hayley Green. But tbh i think Diamond already have the Hayley Green loop covered already

Diamond have the Hayley Green loop covered, but nothing to stop NX increasing competition. An extension may also boost NX's 4H loadings if it covered the entire former Ludlows 417 route

Which part of the 276 is busy??i normally see it at the stourbridge end and it certainly does`nt need deckers then. So Dudle -Merry Hill or MH-Stourbridge.
Dudley to merry hill is always busy to rammed however its often very busy into lye/pedmore as well. It's usually fairly quiet/average from there though.

1864 on the 94, been a while since I've seen a single decker on there
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Stu

Haven't seen one of these for a while on the Stratford Road, but spotted earlier B10L 1457 on the 2 (YW) heading into town.

(Had 2 on the rear blind, but didn't see the front so may have been working the 3)

Also at the same time, 4741 was heading the opposite way on the 6.

(More unusually, there was a 3E, 3 and a 2 all following each other out of town just before!)
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Kevin, are you sure it was 1864? As I thought this was still at NXC

Trident 4609

Yes 1457 was on the 2 (Matt spotted it in Moor Street this afternoon)
