A quarter of WN's E400s off the road due to defects? Are these proving to be unreliable buses? I have no stats or anything to back this up, just personal observations and anecdotal evidence, but after a shaky start, BC seem to usually be able to put out a full complement of their E400Hs each day.

Been reported that a few operators around the country have had issues with new E400Hs has it not?

5414 has already developed a whistling sound under acceleration, I quite like it, it's made it my favourite E400H, distinguishes it from all the others. Hope they don't try and fix it

Whistling under acceleration sounds to me like the turbo.

Sounds a bit like the classic Trident 'whistle'. Will try and film it when I get some space back on my camera

Yeah, I'd expect it to be something minor like a split turbo hose though, rather than the whole turbo going, on such a new vehicle.

4567s seats were ready for collection at Miller Street today. It has been at Trailways for refurb, so may still have to get to Walsall for paint before returning to Wolverhampton

And nothing. Just testing my first post.

No worries  :D Yep Wolvo born and bread. Brought up on Nationals and Volvo Citybuses. I posted the spectra info purely as a test post and because there is some interest in the old girls.
