The gear change is horrid on the Volvos and also when you're trying to get out onto five ways Island and cars are coming at you they decide they want to start the engine and there's massive lag in getting going. The  54**'s  are excellent , particularly 5409. Fast and smooth...

Are you on the Harborne rota Andrew? My main gripe with the E400Hs are the rattles and hard suspension. They are quick though. Have to say from a passenger perspective I do like both Hybrid types.

Agree with you entirely Mike. I'd struggle to pick a favourite, I like both.

I'm not, but I do dabble from time to time. Maybe it's just me but I find the Volvos tiring to drive,  not sure that's a good description it's just I've got this negative mentality towards them. As you say, passenger wise they're good buses. Another thing is, again it's proberly just me, they seem really heavy (even running dead) when going round corners.

And 5512 is sticking to 59's again today.

would have thought they'd have swapped the lot over the weekend. surely sat and sun there are spare buses to cover whilst this is done

I like the enviros but personally I do admit the Volvos interior is better hybrid wise...

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

Is this introduction of more ADL products at Wolverhampton an indication of things to come perhaps? New deliveries for the 126? Which connects the Midlands two largest cities?

There is more to transferring a bus than driving it from one garage to another

TinnedPeaches

5409 seen out on the 1 this morning.

This evening seen with hazard lights on with mechanic van in attendance in Parkfields area then being driven away through Dovedale area. Poor thing. And on its first proper day in service in Wolverhampton.

OH25

has 5510 been borrowed to be put on the 23A because I'm sure I saw it on it about 10 mins ago in Birmingham?
(I didn't really pay attention because it's normal to have a hybrid on there)
