I take your point on cross boundary routes but you could argue that staffs cc are a bit disinterested in bus transport,   look at the state of some of the bus stations in the county, ( although most are owned by district councils surely the cc have some say in things?) Like Lichfield,  not been touched since the 1970s! Why is there not a staffordshire all operator pass like N Bus etc?

Steveminor

Yes but centro charges the operators a fortune in upkeep of the infrastructure.

Least it gets up kept

select bus no.2 t442ebd broken down this morning in darlington street wolverhampton. was amazed to see their mechanic change a faulty compressor and it was driven away hopefully fixed!!! makes you think, especially with todays health and safety rules, and other operators spending money on tow ins when like in this case they can be fixed whilst in attendance

Apparently these guys have bought some sort of Wright Eclipse, did I miss something?

For anyone interested, the leyland decker is out today on the 878. Departed wolves 1030 approx.

Does anyone know when is the next arrival time for the Leyland decker in Wolverhampton? The timetable for 877/878 is a bit strange.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the Leyland decker, it was the E200. I asked the driver about the decker, he was helpful and said "The decker only comes out to take and pick up the kids to/from school then do the one 877/878 trip in am and pm then to the garage." Will catch it tomorrow instead. :) Thanks anyway for your help, @Ashley 60171.

I saw the double decker leaving Pitcher Bank showing 878 at 15.14, 14 minutes late, on Wednesday - if it goes to depot after arriving at Stafford at 12.21 and comes back for the 15.00 what does the 13.35 from Stafford?
;
One bus is in the 13.01 from Wolves and one on 12.15 from Stafford and both the 23 and 67 are running too?

The Leyland Olympian doesn't go back to the garage in midday, it has a long break and will serve the 13:35 ex Stafford. There is a point on the route where the drivers will change - the Olympian will "terminate" and a bus (the E200 in my case because I did the 878 whole trip there and back) will wait to pick up the passengers from the Leyland bus to carry on the route to Wolverhampton. The Leyland bus will go back to Stafford (according to the destination display) and I assume will do the 15:00 ex Stafford for the school run then, and will come back to Wolverhampton around 17:00 and serve the last journey of the day, back to the garage.

Olympian about to leave Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton on the 878.
