You can't come on here alleging that NX are a bunch of money grabbing profiteers with no regard for the passengers who have already paid them for passes because they've disposed of everybody else. Just because they were flashed the cash by the Rugby World Cup?

That will never be tolerated in these parts......

It will if it were true, but a lot of the RWC services were driven by non-driving staff and even garages that are currently suffering staff shortages like AG still managed to get a full registered service out of the garage, even if some mileage was lost due to the traffic congestion caused by the event, so NX did grab the money on offer, and could have provided all the vehicles, but realised if they had staffed all the vehicles they would have had no regard for the normal passengers as duties wouldn't have been covered so hired buses off several other operators (*) to make sure that didn't happen.

Other operators on hire to WMT Ltd included
Green Bus
Midland Classic ( I don't think 4002 turned up!)
First Midland Red
Arriva Midlands North

Anyway, getting back to topic, as my original question got 'drowned out'...

Quite surprising as I've seen a few single decks on it although the last was a double deck

Anyone have a list of vehicles of what NXWM had on hire for RWC?

My friend, he just visited YW garage, has told me that 4520 was being repaired in Yardley Wood Garage but 1926 might not be repaired.

Liberator9

Would be a shame if 1926 isn't repaired - damage to the front must've been fairly severe if it's not viable to fix.

Which journey is that? The only journey I've been able to ascertain an exact vehicle type is the 8:13am timetabled journey that leaves Acocks Green towards city, that has almost always been a Gemini whenever I catch it! And it is somewhat scheduled almost precisely, because if I get the one either side that is usually a single-deck, they almost certainly end up getting rammed!

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Really, the only possible rare workings at AG are a decker on the 71/72, and a single decker on the full 11A/C. Everything else isn't exactly rare.
