The MD has confirmed today that AG is to receive 50 new Enviro 200 full length Single decks in Crimson livery to operate the 37, 71 & 72 routes

Fantastic ! What will happen to the existing Omnilinks and B7RLEs ?!

I predict that Omnilinks to walsall see off the B10z  and b7 rles to Pensnett to see off some mercs as pn had a few off AG a while back

Will these be amongst the first E200 MMC production?

The 35 Scanias could cascade Walsall B7s to Dundee. Also interesting that the number matches roughly the number of Presidents at AG.......

Good to hear this confirmed - as said before I expect the Scanias to go to WA to replace the Eclipse Urbans there and the B7RLEs at AG go to PE, replacing the Mercs. I'd hope the Scanias get a refurb when they move to WA, as the paint on some of them is scraped and the seats look worn out.

Any ideas for when they will be delivered - May/June?

I think so. As far as i'm aware, I haven't seen others about, bar the only demonstrator and few mock-up images on ADL's website.

Personally, I wasn't, and quite frankly, still not a fan of the asymmetric front. I guess I can learn to cope with the rest of the body, but the front looks down-right hideous to me. I guess the design can be more attractive on a LWB chassis? ??? Hopefully, the new livery will be pulled off well on these single deckers... ;)

I Know, on East Birmingham routes through Castle Bromwich, I am sure there must be a mistake in the MD's announcement!

Liberator9

Funny that really - didn't think East Birmingham ever got new buses  ;D

Also an indirect upgrade for the 1 (peaks and Sundays), S1, 31 (evenings) and 966 (Sundays).  8)

That's true of course - the S1 gets an upgrade as well. Keep forgetting about that route. This is where I wish NX still ran the S2/S3 - would've had these instead of useless Solo SRs  :(

The S2/3/4 get Hybrid Versas, not Solo SR's (The S11/15 get the SRs) :)
