From Sunday service 21 towards Wood End will move from stand HS2 to HS3 opposite the old fire station putting that shelter into use at last.
NXC suggests unauthorised parking as the excuse :) ....but the real reason is to accommodate service 23/23A.

That stop was erected some time ago - more recently its become a rest area for weary shoppers and the layby alongside an unofficial pick-up point. Ad company Clear Channel tried to place an advert panel to that stop but they were refused by the Council, as the area has been deemed a 'Conservation Area' (!). I am sure the 21 to Wood End has used that location previously. Re. the unauthorised parking at stop HS2 - not sure about 'unauthorised' - but lots of parking takes place there, mainly by buses!

874 returned from a few weeks off today replacing 873 which had an issue in the City Centre earlier. As it had been off for such a long time, its destination display hadn't been updated so is displaying "23 City Centre" when going to Fenside. Not sure what it is doing for 23A though...

Was it 4396 onwards that were delivered in Blue or was it 4405 onwards? (or am I wrong on both?)

4396 and co started arriving from October 2002 - that was around the time when Coventry went 'blue'. I can't remember now, only 4203-24 in red is actually ringing bells (off to Flickr to have a quick search - but there are surprisingly few pictures of the 2001-2 Coventry red era on there).
