Is there any truth in the rumour that an IGO driver was prevented from driving by the DVSA during a road side check at Wednesbury bus station on a 64 service vehicle for not having a DQC  last week ?

what a DQC

Taken from the governments website:

'You'll get your Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card when you've done 35 hours of periodic training. The card is sometimes called a 'driver qualification card' or 'DQC'.

You must carry this card while driving a lorry, bus or coach professionally.'

The rumour is that the dvr had not completed 35 hours CPC training which would normally mean he/she cannot drive in service.

How long have IGO been branding the 25 between Bloxwich & Kingstanding?

Didn't think operators would bother branding subsidised services?

424 and 53 are branded. Also both subsidised.
Face it, iGo aren't really likely to lose these services for a while are they?

Take a look at EU Directive 2003.59.EC which states that drivers of permit S22/S19 vehicles, as they are driving non commercial services (not for profit), are exempted from holding CPC. That being said WMSNT is a recognised training body for CPC training external and internal applicants alike and therefore does provide all staff with the required level of training

Well they kept that quiet, didn't they?

So much for the people on that estate just before you get to Pheasey, who wanted the Sunday service.

Obviously they didn't want it that badly!

(Not surprised about the section between Bloxwich & Aldridge personally. If it ain't a 19 or 29, the locals don't want to know)
