Enviro 500 MMC or the Wright equivalent. It used to be the Wright Explorer on a B9TL chassis.

If you need to move high volumes then there can only be one answer and that's the tri-axle 12m double decker, it's worked for decades for KMB, NWFB and Citybus in Hong Kong... could be worth thinking about for NX... https://www.flickr.com/photos/66812080@N03/8282541975/in/album-72157627606532614/, First Glasgow use ALX 500's

The tri axles you refer to that were in Glasgow are now in Aberdeen.
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

Dual doors majorly reduce the downstairs capacity though.

You can't beat the good old double decker bus for carrying the masses, I can't see TFWM bendy buses
For hagley rd happening either
, if you look up and down the land the case for  bendy buses just doesn't stack up , leave them at the airports best place for them.

I agree, if anything they should use high spec double deckers for Sprint, possibly with dual doors. Forget articulated bendi's, complete white elephant

I think its fair to say that the articulated bus models that TfWM were looking at for the Sprint project are leaps and bounds ahead of the bendy-buses we've known.

Sadly I fear as taxpayers money is being involved here, no consideration will be given for 'value for money' and we will probably end up with expensive articulated buses, and as you say a 'white elephant'; its easier to make these kinds of decisions when its someone else's money you're spending.

Looking on Tony's November updates, Dart 3601 has been sold - has that gone for scrap?

Sure I saw that at Aston Manor, when they did the last Beer & Buses event!

That was preserved 3603. 3601 is in NX red/white livery.

It's gone for further use. It left under its own steam on 24/11:

I think it's being turned into a play bus or something like that?

Looks like it's been turned into a test-piece for black spray cans!
Don't you start.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it was left in Tipton overnight, and that's what resulted. :P

With 3601 sold and looking on the latest updates (the sale of ex-Trainers 9023/9315) - is that the last ex Travel London buses to leave the NXWM fleet? I can't think of anymore that were new to (or operated in) London.

I assume Miller St must be getting pretty empty now with all the recent disposals for scrap?

Will there still be a need for NX to retain both Miller St & Pensnett's Yard for storing the reserve fleet?
