Quote from: frostjay974 on January 08, 2024, 10:33:52 PMDidn't they have undercover police on the buses in the past to stop assault and this sort of stuff from happening?
You can't have an undercover officer traveling around every bus all day, every day just in case someone sets fire to it.

The whole thing is just one giant white elephant. They should seriously look into abandoning it completely. It's an embarrassment.

At least it seems now the demolition of Saltley Viaduct will take place after the new viaduct has opened. That would have been a nightmare. It was awful whilst it was closed for 9 months this year.

Quote from: Stu on December 20, 2023, 08:36:04 PMSorry to any folks who use Washwood Heath Road bus services, but expect some major disruption while these works are carried out.

It will be interesting to see if these bus lanes will actually be enforced though, or if they even make a difference.
I'm not too worried. You can't get much more disrupted than the current 4 buses at a time and a half hour wait for the next.

I really look forward to the day my five minute frequency bus routes is a five minute frequency. I just hope whilst being installed, the services don't get even worse than they are now.

Quote from: EK40 on December 14, 2023, 09:36:45 PMthe three zenobe spares currently in use at yw are now in the new standard grey/red stripe livery now
Have they just had a red stripe added to their all over dark grey, or have they had the fronts painted light grey too?

Hydrogens on the 51 continue to be a rare sight.

Quote from: spacecowboy150 on December 09, 2023, 04:06:13 PMthey still look and feel the same to the average passenger
That doesn't come into it. They're totally different vehicles. A Volvo isn't a Dennis and a Dennis isn't a Volvo. However a Versa is a Versa is a Versa.

Quote from: Dababa015 on November 20, 2023, 03:58:55 PMAlso What's happened to 2168? Not tracked in ages all of a sudden.
If something has been going on for an amount of time such as 'not tracking in ages', it isn't all of a sudden.

Branded for the 7 as you know, so coming across it on the 7 is normal.

Quote from: Ginger66 on November 07, 2023, 08:44:04 AMThe reason I could gather she wanted it closed was it was raining and rain coming in through the window and getting wet,

That's a good reason for wanting to close a window! Sitting behind an open window is worse than sitting next to an open window.

Unfortunately it's an impossible situation. She could have asked to be polite, but you would have said no anyway. There's no winnners here.

Quote from: Jack6101 on November 02, 2023, 12:03:06 AMThere is also the new E400 Ev (new look/model )that's was revealed today
I'm hoping NX give this one a go! It looks good, higher capacity. Two wheelchair spaces as standard. And it hasn't got that awful headroom at the rear.

Quote from: Solo1 on October 30, 2023, 08:16:57 AMHow long before they fix the pumps at tyseley so all the hydrogen buses can be back out in use
I wouldn't worry about when they're next out in service, there'll be another problem to prevent them operating just around the corner. They just seem totally jinxed.
