There was a trident on the 44 on Thursday

Cracking spot, very rare. Wish I'd been in the area .

Did you see the 44 between County Hall and the City rather than the City to Malvern part? There is a Trident used everyday on the 44 from Worc 6th form to the city only (1 trip). If it was going to Malvern that would be very rare!

Also a few Saturday's back I saw a Plaxton Centro Bodied B7RLE (66691 I think in the current First Livery minus logo's) on the 144 going down Bristol Rd. Is this noteworthy? I do visit Birmingham every few weeks and I tend to see the usual E300's and President/ALX400 bodied Tridents.

That's rare. The Enviros & Tridents tend to stick to the 144

Not rare at all, some 144 journeys are on 44 boards so are likely to get Centros that had been on the 44

Apart from the fact the Centros are quite rare on the 144. It is normally deckers and Enviro 300s!

No, see above, perhaps j789 could confirm

They are rare though...! I stood by 144 stops twice every day and never caught a centro... Strange, thought people who lived near the route knew best. Maybe that's just the case with the 002

Thanks for the info Matt. (Just the person I expected to answer my question) As I said I'm not regually in that area so when I do see it its mainly Tridents and E300's

Does the 14:17 144 ex City (That's the departure it would have done) come off a 44 then?

Yes I agree DiamondDart. I have done revenue checking on the Bristol Road many times over the last year and only ever seen about 4 Centros!

Maybe the interworking is a relatively recent change. As I said, some 144 journeys use a bus from the 44, so given the 44 is roughly 50/50 Enviros/Centros, there is a fair chance of it being a Centro

I went straight from Malvern to Bromsgrove on the same Centro a few Saturdays ago and passed at least one other coming the other way on the 144

Potentially they are more likely on the short 144 Worcester to Bromsgrove. I rarely see that though so not sure but seems potentially more likely than them being on the full 144.

This wasn't a 144A to Catshill, this was a 144 but a short journey Worcester to Bromsgrove (private to garage after). I think the other had come from Birmingham too.

I'm sure j789 will be able to shed a little light.

I'm in Worcester 2 days a week and I never see any Centros on the 144

Centros are not the usual allocation - it is as said Tridents and Enviro 300s however, it isn't rare rather infrequent to have one on it. The running cards specify the type of bus (Enviro/Trident) but obviously this is subject to what is available in the garage so other types can be used. The Centros mainly stick to city routes and the 44 - they have a reputation for not being as reliable as the Enviros hence why I think they are mainly kept close to the garage. I like driving them as it adds a bit of variety from endless Enviros! There is more of a chance of seeing one on the 144 on a Sunday, for example 66691 was on it a few weeks back. (No deckers are used on sunday unless a rugby game is on at Sixways.)
