Surprise news is that the 19 route is to get 4 brand new buses next month - luxury spec Optare Solos, probably similar to the Stagecoach Gold ones in Leamington Spa interior wise

Maypole & Longbridge via Cotteridge & Northfield - vehicle option

Listed in the list of September service wins up thread - presumably the note centro put on the end ' vehicle option' relates to them not taking the cheapest bid and trying to run it as a quality service. This route is also the highest subsidy route on the list, so some of the subsidy is paying for these vehicles

Thanks for that Tony, forgot that the 19 was changing hands, no wonder I couldn't find a WMSNT service 19 on Network West Midlands

It doesn't change hands until 27th October, are the higher spec vehicles something to do with the forthcoming South Birmingham review?
