804 sitting dead on Colmore Row waiting to be hooked up to a Mansfield recovery truck at around 16:20
Didn't take long at all, gurantee these won't be going in 15 years time like (some) of the B6's,

I think most buses have teething problems when they first enter the service, the omnilinks had their fair share of issues when they first entered service i.e doors not closing properly so the brakes were permanently applied they even had to be taken off the 404 for the day as their were issues with them in Bradford Place. Hopefully once they have been running in service for a couple of months reliability should increase and issues sorted. Even at the beginning of this week a branded 51 enviro 400 broke down in Walsall and is still a fairly new bus.

I remember that day a rare metro on the 128 good day that was

Yeah there was a metro on the 127/128,80 and 449 that day and the 404 had an omnilink from PB (1837) and anything else left in the garage including loads of merc/b6le's and alx400 and presidents.

huge panic at the garage that day. if i remember properly, the floors were catching the bottom of the hump in Bradford Place, causing fuel and oil leaks, so Scania told the garage to take them all off the road while they checked them.
an empty bus is a happy driver.

Ash

If the omnilinks had that problem how come 1837 was borrowed from Perry Barr that always confused me. Yeah i remember catching 4048 which was used on that day.

Probably because 1837 would have been about a year old at that time and so it would have gotten past any of the faults affecting the newer Scanias within it's first year.

personally i was never going to be a huge fan of these buses, but i have to say after having a ride on 803 i am impressed. The engines are smooth, there's plenty of leg room, there's no rattles or shakes. I have to agree they do seem a lot better than Arriva's E200's and i see them every day.

NXWM Enviro 200 or Arriva Enviro 200, now which on is better?, there is only one way to find out.......Photo

was on one of these first time today (also 803) from Halesowen to uni, and I have to say I was equally impressed, being a lanky bugger I always struggled on the older buses but no problem now. He flew up Mucklow Hill aswell, can't wait to see one on the 46 along Newton road now
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Route 62/62A is changing mid Feb route training available from next weekend I would guess in that case mid to late Feb maybe. This week they have been using more Excels on the 62/62A maybe the Solo's will be first to go!
