Can I ask, not being from the area and having no intention to travel to, what's the big deal with what operates on the 276?

Not as such a big deal but the Sunday 276 is usually B7RLE operated but over the past few weeks it has been fully trident operated.

Yeah but I bet there is no specific allocation diagram for the engineers to follow for that route. So surely its just a chance thing. Whichever bus is easiest to get out of regarding depot departure time?

276 running cards that don't inter work with the 243/4 are allocated tridents the ones that do inter work are allocated Mercedes or B7RLE on a sunday. So I suppose the mixed bag throws people out. Traffic allocate buses at PN.

2094 is on the 243/244 today. This should become less uncommon over the coming months unfortunately.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Pensnett has always had its unique ways. In a way it makes sense because Traffic know what buses are in Traffic then.

I'm sure some people think there's No need for a sensible system when a complicated system works just as well!

As I've said previously, Tom, some of Pensnetts' working practices leaves something to be desired.

But saying that if a Black Country lad went to BC, it'll be the same story wim 'im. (So to "speak")

It is traffic at a few garages.

Maybe its BC the odd one out.

I probably should've took advantage of a few months at another depot for a few hours travelling time.

Oh well

Ashley

Had 1573 earlier this afternoon. If it's not been mentioned, something beneath the floor just behind the offside rear axle is squeaking alot which gave the bus the worst, loudest whistle I've ever heard. Not being a mechanic that's all I can say that's valid

Completely unrelated to the above posts, but something interesting I've noticed - 1554 seems to have the gearbox of a Mk2, and 1640 seems to have the gearbox of a Mk1. 1589 at WB also sounds like it has a Mk2 box.

As well as 1577, 1588, 1590, 1593, 1624. 1593 being the only one out of the lot that hasn't been withdrawn

2099 is out on the 140/241 today, 11:15 from Halesowen. First time I've seen it at Pensnett. Quite a fast bus.

B7s today on the 243/4. A mixture of Tridents and B7s on the 276. One of the X96's was 2101, did not see the other.
