241 is running in pairs tonight it seems, just saw 2100 and another B7 in convoy

When coming home today the 241 was 25 mins late when it arrived. I think it was 2089. When I got on the jammed packed 241 a late 140 (2154) pulled up in front of us and then 3 mins from Dudley another 241 overtook us. I think it was 2100. So there was a 140 plus 2 241's from Rowley regis-Quinton  running in pairs. Might explain why there was 2 241's running in pairs. Probably because of one road when it was the 140 (Hagley road) ;)

That's a different pair to the one I saw, 2100 was defo the one running late, was on the 15:23 from Dudley but arrived in Halesowen at 16:35 with the 15:53 right behind

The 241 I was supposed to catch was the 15:23 too. ;D Unless 2089 was the one on time and 2100 was the late one ;)

The 15:23 was definitely meant to be 2100 as I see the same bus every day doing the 08:05 and 16:05 from Halesowen and today it was 2100, I didn't see the fleetnumber of the one on time, so that must've been 2089 :)

Can't understand why AVL were letting buses go around bunched together today?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Trident 4609

And not just at PN either! WA's 69 was in chaos this afternoon with two 69's (15:25 from Wolves late and the 15:55 on time) within 5 minutes of each other

It's been about a year since I last saw those two boards running together, strangely enough they were both Enviro400s

Christmas rush creates extra traffic

I saw 2 Joes 11Cs running together today followed by 2 NXWM 11Cs 3 minutes behind, Welcome to the Christmas Pantomime! Boxing Day will be even worse though... :/

I bet the 11 is a hard route to adjust/maintain.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Yes, what happens if a bus is running considerably late? As it can't be turned around. Perhaps it just has to soldier on, hence why the 11 can be so unreliable

I wonder if PE will get any more B7RLE's or tridents to replace the rest of the mercs soon. Or if PE are very lucky maybe new E400's if they don't go to WA or the Birmingham garages as they always do. But I doubt new E400's will go to PE. They will probably get B7RLE's or tridents ;)
Buses near me are the 4M,24,89,140,205,205E,208,241,289

Given that PE has seen quite a bit of investment over the last couple of years, new E200s, new B7RLEs, i would expect that any vehicles that are needed for the replacement of the Mercs will come from cascading vehicles from other depots.
