don't think any mercs have been out today with 2 of the 3 buses on the 243/4 being 2084 and 2101.

The 243/4 seems to be either Fully Merc operated (Usually is) or fully B7RLE operated on Sundays

I thought Mercs weren't used at PE on Sundays?

They often are, a couple of Sundays back I think all or most of the buses on the 243/4 and 276 were Mercs, that's 8 in total

I thought the 276 was B7RLE on Sundays. Or it was last time I saw it (when the 289 went to Merry Hill)
It usually is, it's just that one Sunday was an anomaly, with I think fully Merc operation for one day, I have no idea why

1640 seems to have devolped a minor fault, was following on the 243 this afternoon and it rear lights, driver side at the bottom keep flashing on & off. Presumably is an electrical fault or a loose bulb.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

That's the indicators, Stu. ;)

(Yes. You aren't mistaken. It is a joke...)

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Not at all; Assistant Global Moderator is my official title; but I've only got around to inputting it into the system. Administrator is the membergroup.

(Cheers for noticing!!)

And more on topic, I was looking at a Flickrhive earlier and saw 541 or something, a brand new B6 in red stripe livery. So I am wrong to assume the B6's were new in TWM Low Floor colourings?

Do you mean 551 LS.

That was new as a demonstrator just before the low floor livery came in, and then was renumbered along with the rest of the B6LE fleet upon their delivery (this is what I have read)

It was originally registered 'N551 BOM' but was changed before hitting the road, see

Yes, 551. Reading the comments on here and on Flickr it now makes sense. As I say I only saw it on those oddball hive things.

Before I check I'd post; is 551 still 551 in the modern fleet? Does it still exist in its current form (not a washing machine or anything yet)

No, it was Withdrawn from Walsall in December 2010 and scrapped in October 2011 so it may well be a washing machine or a drinks can

Stuharris 6360

When we had 551 at PE, it seemed to have a very rough ride, and an even rougher engine.

I'm sure I've seen it in the last couple of weeks in service, haven't seen it since the extra B7RLE have arrived from AG though, but haven't been out as much
