And bring back the 206/207 as I don't sees the point of extending the X96 to serve wrens nest

very true
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

2103 on the 140/241 again.
Buses near me are the 4M,24,89,140,205,205E,208,241,289

Does anybody know when PE will receive 2099-2101

I don't see what everyone has against the X96 serving Wrens Nest. People living in that area get an every 10 minute service to Dudley (along with the 82), rather than 2 routes every half an hour and no Sunday service
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

because wrens nest already had the 206/207 circular. Maybe NXWM could have had the 206/207 serve merry hill and make the 206/207 a non circular route. They could have a every 10 or 20 minuite frequency.
206/207 Wrens nest-Merry hill via Dudley for example with 206 and 207 taking slightly different routes between Dudley and Merry hill

But they weren't every 10 or 20 minutes, they were every 30 minutes a piece. With the X96 and 82 passengers of Wrens Nest get a direct service to Wolverhampton, Stourbridge and Merry Hill as well as Dudley

And probably will do quite regually tbh now it is a PN bus :)

Jack2001

Am I right saying that the 120,140/241 are the only PE routes that are fully operated by B7RLE'S apart from the occasional E400 or trident

Yes, the 120 uses up most of PN's B7s with about 6 on the 140/241. There are also usually a couple on the X96, but they can turn up on other routes such as the 243, 244, 276, 53/289, etc.

PE new Transit out to rescue 1637, removed cash box and then left it dumped, presume its a Mansfield job

Oh and 1743 on the 222 sounds rediculously rough, a belt has gone or something

Two more Mercs appear to have been withdrawn, one is 1545 and there is one more, but it is parked behind 1545 and is to far away to clearly identify. Only clue is that it is in old livery and looks stil to have TWM branding.

I saw two parked in the top right-hand corner facing the fence yesterday, the first was 1545 but then an engineer reversed it out & parked it up with the rest on site so wasn't sure?

1545 is back parked in the top right hand corner along with another, maybe 1646, but it definitely a Txxx FOB one.

It must be 1646, now you've said that I remember the other one was in TWM livery and had a side LED display. 1646 was the only one to be fitted

It could also be withdrawn 1645

2103 more likely on loan rather than transferred to Pensnett, saw it today, with nothing on any LED display. It appeared to be working the 120, loaded and unloaded on Colmore Row at the 120 stop. Left Birmingham around 1.10pm

I'm pretty sure it was in the latter style of TWM livery with blue to the underside of the windows. The withdrawn stock has always gone straight in to the additional yard to date. This was parked in the depot alongside 1545

I haven't seen 1646 at all recently, I had a feeling it had been withdrawn. Quite a shame really, I kind of liked 1645/6 due to how strange they looked.

According to the December changes, it was 1545 & 1646 that were withdrawn.

2103 is shown as transfer to PE although 2102 is not shown as transferring.

I guess 1637 is not withdrawn, transferring to Coventry garage for replacement 1547?

If 1637 still transferring to CV that's look good fleet list with 1634-1637.

What are you going on about?
I thought Merc Mark 2 will more couple of years but similar Plaxton President will have more couple of years. Normal Merc Mark 1 going to withdrawn first. 1637 has no problem but no reason to withdrawn but it's doesn't matter about age. Merc Mark 2 age is 14-15 year old and Plaxton President age is 14-15 year old. I believe CV will get some Mercs mark 2 from PE for more couple of years.

Still not 100% clear what you are on about, but it is all but confirmed that the vast majority if not all the Mercs will go before any double deck withdrawals, even the Spectra's are due to hang on longer than the Mercs

personally feel that the Mercs will be all but gone by this time next year together with the B6s & B10Ls.

I assume NX have "x" amount of single deckers on order to replace MERCS, B6'S & B10L'S?

Some are being replaced by cascades of double deckers (Tridents from BC & YW to PE) and some more are being replaced by B7RLEs from BC. When this has finished there will be Mercs remaining at PE, although in fewer numbers than there have been. Presumably there will be more cascades next year for PE, WN, WB & CV to loose there Mercs.
