205 today was 1704/6/7 & 1743, seemed unusual to see 3 of the more modern Mercs on there and all 4 being fitted with digital blinds.

Question, why was 1743 numbered 1743, is it because it was an ex demonstrator and they wanted to distinguish it from the other 17** ones or had TWM ordered more Mercs, but cancelled the order?

I had noticed they usually try and keep the 205 operated by older Mercs, not sure why

I had noticed they usually try and keep the 205 operated by older Mercs, not sure why

perhaps because the route is so tightly timed and the older Mercs are more reliable.

It's very rare (or at least it should be) to see bunching on a route of every 30 minutes. I only remember seeing that once, on the 53 :o

In peak times 140's are usually 10-15 minutes apart

I saw two 257's in a row a few months back

At 17.30, a 140 leaves Colmore at about 17.25, 17.30 and 17.35, probably those that bunched.
