Yeah!

And engineers, as they are a new type to Pensnett

The engines would be similar as the enviro 400 but obviously a lower euro spec and different gear box. So shouldn't be to difficult to get used to

Would there much difference in the bodywork i.e. replacing panels etc

danny

Wonder if they will be dotted arround routes or go onto one route inpaticular, methinks the 246 will see most of the tridents.

It would be nice to see a Trident sneaking onto the 9 and 141!!

Also I would like 4218 to go as well. Still at Central today though  :)

No doubt Tridents will appear on the 9 and the 2 BC morning journeys will no longer stand out as being unusual workings.

Now that the cat's out of the bag (didn't someone say it would be BC Tridents to PE anyway?) is anyone allowed to say how many of these will be transferring?
I did post it on here but matt has asked me not to

I specifically got you to promise you wouldn't post any of this in the forum or tell anyone else before I told you anything!

Mike K

No sorry, don't want to stir all that up again, what I meant was that someone (neither of you two) posted very early on that they reckoned it would be BC Tridents to PE.

Anyway, it's out now. I can understand if NXWM employees have been told not to post information ahead of it happening but I'm still not clear in my mind why transferring a handful of battered old double deckers to Pensnett is commercially sensitive or top secret information.

But I do look forward to seeing a bit more variety on the likes of the 120 and 140.

What would make my day more than anything is seeing one on the 244! :)

Liverpool Street

Oh there is a god!!

Can they have all 65 of them?  ;D

Good news the BR will see less 41's and more 44/46's. Result.

Shame to see 4190 go, though.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Good chance really. Or they'll just choose random 41's like 4218, 4202 etc. Hm, I don't think BC will see 4197 again after its repaint. Straight to the Farm methinks.

I have been saying it would happen for ages!

Matt did say about 4196 and 4202 to me.

Preference seems to be for blocks of sequential numbers these days so if it is 10 maybe 4193 to 4202, or 4194 to 4202 plus 4218?

Whatever happens I hope 4202 transfers, and that the Tridents regularly see the 120, although I doubt that

Difference is i just want to be on the forum without any arguments. I posted some info i know and then i get matt telling me not to post it.

If you want to take the matter up with matt you can as i don't want to argue at all. It has been suggested that around 10 will transfer so probably the whole of 419*'s

All I said was I've been saying PE would get tridents for ages, how is that me goading you for an argument?

Oops i'm very sorry :( Thought you were referring to the first part of mikes post about matt arguing again. Apologies again. As i've said its around 10 tridents so could be more or less.

Forgotten already ;)

Had heard that 4202 was at PE, arrived yesterday.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

My guess and hope is that this will see off more early Mercs rather than the last remaining B6's as the ones left are all in pretty good condition, much better than probably around half of PE Merc fleet
