Yes saw 555 on the 244 this morning, doesn't appear to be any damage/fire damage at the rear.

It was on the 08:15 from Halesowen, the 243/4 repeats every 3 hours doesn't it? So should be on 11:15, 14:15 and 17:15 if anyone wants a ride. Wish I could!

I wonder when PE will recommence repaints of its fleet? The E400 programme appears to have been halted as does the Merc mark 2 refurb programme

Think that the E400 repaints have been stopped because the PE E400s are no longer going to YW. To me it was an ill conceived idea that the 30 Enviros should go to YW to be replaced by 25 older ones and more than likely 5 even older Mercs leaving PE 5 deckers short. Anyway the idea was cancelled but not before PE had probably spent a lot of there budget having repaints and retrims on them.

If that is the case, then PE probably don't have the money to spend on having the Mercs that are to be kept in the longer term, being given a repaint or retrim or even both.

Credit to PE as some of the Mercs are looking a lot smarter than they were, the way they are gleaming someone had had the wax polish out.
