1664 engine fire yesterday quite bad looks to be written off

Literally just seen this coming into Dudley so are you sure? Seemed fine, was it 1640 maybe?

Definitely 1664 it's in the depot with a brown back end !

R.I.P 1664

Are we sure it was 1664, went to the garage this morning and 1664 is parked on the front row with all the other service buses, however 1663 is parked on the far left of the garage with severe rear fire damage?

Thanks for that Stu, no only Excels & the two B10B white trainers noted to date, I expected all the B10L's to be going in to dry storage at LH should be worth more than the Excels

The TWM signs have been removed off the side of Pensnett garage, looks as though Pensnett is in the process of being re-branded NX Pensnett

Passed PE earlier, they seem to be loading a number of engines onto a lorry, presume they are the ones from the Bendi's?

In Dudley for a little bit this morning and it just occurred to me that a lot of PE Mercs still have the City Hop fare advertising circles stuck haphazardly over the windows from their time on the 140/120, it wouldn't take a lot to just take these off as these buses shouldn't be entering the city centre again and looks a bit daft when there on the 246 etc..

Its like branding even when removed you can still see remains.

No, NXWM have the extra plot of land which could increase the size of the allocation significantly, but its currently being used for staff parking & storing part of the reserve fleet
