Will the line of route between QE and Halesowen be the same as the current 99 route, if so what will replace the 99 between the QE and City Centre?
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

Presume change at QE for 98...

Reducing the frequency is being reduced from every 10 minutes to every 20?
The City Centre - QE section is very busy and does get a full load.

Maybe there will be extra 98E journeys between the QE and City Centre, if it does happen?

A variation for the 98 has been registered from 23/04/17, so definitely some change happening to it.

If the 120/120A proposal goes ahead, will the route stay at PN or move to WB do we think?

Great news concerning my  smethwick rota we,re losing the awful 83/89 services less Dudley rd work good riddance whoopee, the new Oldbury rota will do the following services 82/87 unfortunately ,120A 127 128 , I was hoping management would separate 82/87 from 120A/127/128 can't win them all. This should mean no unpaid traveling to and from west brom/Oldbury to do second portions.

It appears the 120A will be WB operated.

I would hope that whatever does replace the City to QE section of the 99 goes beyond the QE and into Harborne or beyond. There will potentially be some useful links lost, dependent on what the replacement is, including Welsh House Farm to city, and the University residences at the Vale to Harborne.

The current 99 seems to work well, if it ain't broken...

Totally agree with this. Can't see the reason for this change as the 98/99 work well together and carry good loads whenever I see them. I also catch the 99 a lot when back in Harborne. If they wanted the 244 to go to the QE it should run via the 9 route to Quinton from Halesowen, and then the way the 004 runs into Harborne (along some of the 24 route). that way it would provide new links for all those places and the 99 could be maintained as it is.

With the 244 having just been reduced to every 30 minutes as the Dudley to Halesowen corridor isn't busy enough, this suggests the extension to the QE will be every 30 minutes too.

Yet NX deem that the Hasbury section of the 244 is busy enough to maintain a 20 min frequnecy and have also diverted it to largely follow the same Hasbury loop as Diamond's 4H, meaning that Huntingree Road / Dunstall Road & The Squirrels etc now have 7 x 4H's per hour (4 x Diamond & 3 x NXWM) which is rediculous......

It does make you wonder what the rational for these changes is, as somebody has already said, if the route ain't broke, why mend it.

Plus the fact that they have only, on Sunday, amended the 244 to run between Dudley & Halesowen, to then less than 2 months later extend it to the QE is daft in the extreme. Talk about causing confusion for the general public.

Considering most changes of late, seem to need a consulatation, where is it??
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

The 99 is probably the most unreliable service in Birmingham - It is broke!

Tony has got a point. See more e200s running NIS than on route.

So why wasn't everything changed last Sunday, seems daft to keep changing the 244 around?

Wouldn't it just have been easier to split the 99 at the QE if it is that bad a service?
