Have to say i am quite shocked, was on the 9 this afternoon from City and a woman got on and asked if it went past the Toby Carvery, and the driver said well I go down the Hagley Road, so woamn asked again and driver said he didn't know? surely all drivers know where the Toby Carvery is??

No she didn't, neither did the driver ask if she needed the Quinton Toby Carvery.

To say the driver didn't know where it was is silly because in the past 9Es have terminated there. He wasn't a new driver, he is a regular PE driver. Seen him on the 9s many times.

I have driven routes many times, but still don't know all the pubs and restaurants on them.

In my opinion, there are enough resources out there for passengers to use in order to plan their journey before they get on the bus. While one would expect the driver to know the route, I wouldn't expect them to know every precise building that they pass while on their route.

I didn't and still don't have a clue where plenty of buildings are on the 11 route.

The funny one I got asked a few times was where is Big Johns. There's 4-5 on the route lol
