A slight correction to my original post that caused this mass of posts on here. The Business brief actually says the 48xx off the 9 route are transferring to Perry Barr for the 16 & 101. Only 22 including 4828/9 already there are transferring to PB. 7 are not going to PB
Ah, I see! Maybe they still need buses for other routes.

Or maybe they're going somewhere else? (it only says they're not going to PB). Just a thought.

Am sure Tony's post has changed since i saw it last night, I thought it said remaining 5 Enviros staying at Pensnett for the moment?

I don't think the post has changed, I think I've just interpreted it (maybe incorrectly) as 7 not going to PB meaning they could go elsewhere. It could equally mean they are staying put.

I say its 5 that will be left, remember that 4828/9 have gone and been replaced. so Current fleet is 4800 - 4827, of which 22 will be going to PB, leaving 5.

Stu, Tony's post clearly says 22 to PB including 4828/9, 7 not going to PB

@Winston Sorry mate, getting myself really confused, not difficult at the moment.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Anyway I tried to upload a photo of my pensnett visit last August 2014
It said introducing our nine year old Rhys Southall from Russell's hall who knows more about our routes vehicles and services than anyone from the age of 4 Rhys has visited our travel shop In dudley speaking to staff and keeping his timetable collection up to date
Inspector dot shortland was so impressed with Rhys that she organised a visit to pensnett garage for Rhys to allow him to share his knowledge with the welcoming staff

Whilst not doubting any of this, considering this garage has around 25 Mercs due for imminent withdrawal also getting on for half the fleet here is due to change around fairly soon. I'm surprised so many vehicles would be relinquished to PB.

I dare say the bulk of the remaining Mercs will be replaced by cascaded Tridents from BC, E200's have been suggested for the 243/244 in the past as well

I think with the merc winston it could be 50/50 tridents and e200 and/or of b7 or could be all 3

And there was me expecting to be up to page 315 by now just because 4800 was on the 9 along with several tridents

But having said this, if 7 of them do stay, I'd imagine 4817 being one of them. Sure, it'll leave a gap in the fleet, but it has been named after someone who is very keen of the particular bus - Edward Littlehales. Even though NX says that the name will remain on for the lifetime of the bus.

I may be completely wrong, but I thought that the boy who the bus is named after isn't from the West Midlands area, so it wouldn't really matter which garage the bus operated from. I think I read that somewhere else on the forum, but when and where and indeed if, I cannot remember.

He comes from Catshill, Bromsgrove.

Will be interesting to see what happens, NE tend to like fleet numbers to run consecutively, leaving 4817 at PE will cause a headache.

I would like 4827,4826,4825,4808,4810 to stay

Also a b7 followed by trident at 4:00 halesowen to city
4351 was the trident

Sh4318

I don't think Enviros on the 53 are noteworthy.

If anyone at PN reads this forum. The tracking on 4800 is not working and has not been for ages. Might be worth a look if its not already on the engineers' radar. Probably just a cable been knocked out of place.

1631 wasn't showing realtime either today

Nothing to do with Pensnett, and no it is not just an unplugged wire as it tracked part of the day yesterday. It is already booked for Traffilog to reconfigure it
