I've seen it this week in service so that's bit is wrong
It comes into mh off a 141 about 0720 and changes to a 241 about 0730 depart

I wasn't 100% hence why I placed a question mark. At least take note of my punctuation before attempting to correct me in such a way.

I've just thought. Since the 297 got extended from Merry hill to Gornal, has anyone realised it goes past its former terminus (at one stage) in Brierley Hill, and follows a small section of its original route prior to transfer from West brom to Pensnett all them years ago!

Those were the days...242 Kinver to Cradley, 296/297 Stourbridge to brockmoor, 293 Stourbridge to Wollaston, 293A Stourbridge Junction to Wollaston from West bromwich depot with travel merry hill doing peak 257A trips to the Junction car park too...

Then they transferred them to travel merry hill, cut the 242 to Stourbridge to Kinver, 293A and 257A got the bullet and the 297 initially terminated at Brierley Hill then got further cut to merry hill...

I've noticed that the pe9 has a non enviro on it pretty much everyday. Is this due to 4808 on loan?

4808s loan should make no difference, the 9 uses less buses during the summer holidays!

Depends, could be that several Enviros may have needed Maintainance, or could be that they were the next buses booked to leave the garage and were allocated to the 9. As long as they are not Mercs, any other bus can operate the 9.

Is it partly down to the 141 interworking with the 140,241 so a pvr increase so they have more e400 out on those so sometimes the 9 have tridents and b7's??

Yh but the 141/241/140 gets a few tridents aswell so I wouldn't say there has been an increase on number of buses used on 141/241/140
