My guess and hope is that this will see off more early Mercs rather than the last remaining B6's as the ones left are all in pretty good condition, much better than probably around half of PE Merc fleet

I hope, personally, they will take at look at the whole Merc fleet, and withdraw the worse condition, more troublesome ones. Think some of the earlier ones are far more reliable than the later ones. Lately, if you go past the garage, far more of the later ones are receiving attention than the earlier ones.

Wouldn't think they would withdraw the B6s as they are far to useful, and as has been said are in better condition.

My fear is that they will use the Tridents to release B7RLE to go to WN so that they can dispense with all of their remaining Mercs.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

If only 10 are transferring, I have a feeling they may all be used on the 246
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Obvious drawback of sending B7RLEs from PE to WN, what will make up the numbers on the 120 and 140, you cant have "battered" mercs on there

Good point Ashley, now Driver has confirmed they are for the 246, then Merc withdrawls seem the obvious answer.

B6s, that's a surprise. Would have thought they would have kept them for the 243/4 boards.

All B6's will be withdrawn which makes sense as a new type is introduced so one type will be withdrawn. They are for the 246 but I dear say at times they will stray plus it opens the gates for further transfers. The 246 PVR is 9 so currently 10 buses will be required to provide a spare. However in September the 246 will revert to its normal timetable which is a PVR of 10.

I would expect them to stray on DD routes more than anything else, I.e. 9, 141
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters

Semi-local routes: 80, 87

The 246 was one of the routes listed as getting the on board passenger information systems so I'd imagine they'll be branded for it, if and when it happens.

Trident 4609

As Driver said i was told 10 tridents to PE with B6's Being withdrawn. Will they still keep the 246 Enviro operated on Sundays.

Me and Matt will be sad to See 555 "The Screaming Cat" to go

Suppose it makes sense to dedicate one type of bus if it is to get Talking Bus, after all you couldn't equip every Merc with the equipment.

It would make sense to use Enviros for the 246 on Sundays. Tridents can then either be given a rest, or venture onto other routes, like the B7RLE
