I would have thought you would have seen it waiting in Halesowen for an hour, as you got the Stourbridge and Birmingham bound buses. Therefore I don't believe 3301 was out for all the day.

4350 yesterday had a driver thrashing the hell out of it, think it may have nearly reached speed limits

There is no way every 9 passes through Halesowen bus station in an hour! You may not believe that it was out for the whole day but Tony's super computer can see the exact speed it was going, where he can see what speed the bus was going at a specific time and every Road it had been down during the day so I think he would know.

No obviously your computer is far more reliable, could you tell me what time it passed through Halesowen then?

It did the

07:29; 09:53; 12:08; 14:29; 16:56 & 19:25 journies from Stourbridge
08:41; 10:56; 13:11; 15:34; 18:04 & 20:23 from Birmingham

not always on time, but all miles were operated

Thanks Karl. Not out for about three weeks now though so by then it might have done a full week no trouble.

X10 Gornal Wood

If this x10 was introduced could it go via quinton expressway? There's a bus stop outside business park.

That was suggested ages ago for a potential X9 & poo poo'd.

Sending the X10 down there would mean it would miss out all of Quinton & stops that the 9 doesn't serve

It does seem unlikely that it would go down the Expressway which is a shame because historically routes that have gone that way (902, 900, 19/19S etc) have provided a genuinely faster alternative between City and Halesowen. Mind you in those days the Expressway / Manor Way didn't get snarled up in the way they do now.

As it stands I can't see a service that stops at selected stops between Five Ways and Quinton being that much quicker than the all stops Hagley Road services.

An X9 via the Expressway would be the better option, as there is an alternative stopping service. Even in the days of the 19/19S, at peak time coming from City, Manor Way would often be backed up to the M5 Island, unfortunately there's too many cars on the road & traffic is a fact of life.

If the X10 happens & proves to be successful, I'd like to see an X9 to speed up journey times for people using the 9 over a longer distance

Why have single deckers on 140/141/241  suddenly become noteworthy
