Most likely just a loan from WN garage. Can't see it transferring to PN from WN

If you are just asking which garage its from then its from WN

824 also on 243/244 today, as is 1515 which I've just had the 'pleasure' of a ride on

I'm currently sat on it in Halesowen

Perhaps you're getting mixed up with 1669, which was at PN last week and is on the 81 today?

Can't understand why, when PE loan a vehicle from WN, they put it on routes like 243/4 when the ideal route would be 246 as it has Stourbridge & Dudley on its blinds.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

243-09 is the second to last board to depart PN the last is 120-03 which has the B7 RLE off the Staff Bus. So if a bus is loaned it tends to go on the 243 card to get it making money. There would still be Dudley, Merry Hill and more than likely Halesowen on their blind set but may not be spaced together or the driver won't know where they are and it would be unfair for him/her to trail through upto 60 destinations to find the correct one. It's not an ideal practice as it's not the best reflection to the customer. However A bus is better than no bus.

I know Wolverhampton have the following PE destinations in their rollers on Mercs

merry hill
Dudley
Stourbridge
Timbertree
Birmingham
Kingswinford

I think there's more but I'm currently mobile so can't think off the top of my head

I thought that was one of the things drivers are paid for, ensuring that the correct destination is on the front of the bus.

Also couldn't someone at PE ring WN and ask what position on the blinds PE destinations are, at one time there always used to be a list of destinations and there number on the blind in the cab.

It is the same when Mercs on the 243/4 go round with 24 and the final blind showing half way between 3 & 4 to save it having to be changed.
