Does this seem to happen too often?

On the subject of suicide I did hear that the london underground have a number of attempted suicides each year.Apparently if a tube driver is unfortunate to have TWO in 'front' during his/her employment I was told they can be excused work and/or retired on full pay? I wonder if a similar policy has ever applied to a bus?/ :-\ .....incidentally, the Jubilee line platforms have 'barrier'  doors which operate in-line with the train doors. if there is no train the doors stay shut.  A life saving innovation. 

No pay for first 3 days of sickness, 3 months full pay, 3 months half pay I think...Next stop.....Job Centre Plus!!!!
