I think its going to be a later change, like the 73/A9 changes aren't till January.

Quote from: Stu on June 27, 2025, 07:19:31 PMI don't know to be honest, maybe there was an error in the service registration which has subsequently been corrected, but not published yet.

Or perhaps the registration is correct, and NX haven't submitted the correct timetable data to TfWM yet, which has resulted in TfWM publishing incorrect future timetables.

17 extension happens on 3rd August

this probably isn't the thread for this but does anyone have any idea what is going on with the mavis road bus stop longbridge/northfield? it had been out of service since 2018, was brought back for the new X20, and is now straight back out of service?
local routes:
45 - Birmingham to Longbridge
47 - Birmingham to Longbridge
49 - Solihull to Rubery Great Park
63 - Birmingham to Frankley
X20 - Birmingham to Rednal/Bromsgrove

Gotta say I am a little surprised at the new 48 timetable from 20/07. Showing buses to Hawkesley every 20 mins. I figured it might be every 3rd journey would extend, providing an hourly service.

Is there really a demand for that frequent a service?

The 46 and 46A combine to offer a 30 min frequency at present between QEH and Hawkesley. As TfWM will only be subsidising part of the route - with the rest of the 48 being mainly commercial - its more 'operationally efficient' to just extend the current 48 at its 20min frequency.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to QE Hospital | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

they're subsidising the northfield to hawkesley section right? or is it the entire section from the QE/weoley castle downwards

Not 20th July changes as such, but timetables from 31st August, when those services which had summer reductions supposedly revert to their normal frequencies, are available on the TfWM website.

Disappointingly these appear to show that the 23/24, and 94/95 for that matter will keep their reduced 12 minute / 6 minute combined frequencies after schools return from summer holidays.

They normally revert to the old timetables at the end of September when the universities return. They have done the last few years anyway

Ok, thanks - I hope that's the case. I can understand that with the X21/22 but didn't think the 23/24 and 94/95 would be impacted much by university passengers.

The 23/24 in the evening rush hour are unpleasantly full much of the time on these reduced summer timetables.

Does anyone know if the frequency for the 17/17A will change?

I'm wondering that because at the moment the 17 is every 8 minutes (every 9 minutes on Saturdays), it normally reduces to every 9 minutes in the summer school holidays, so I would be surprised if there is a combined frequency of the 17 and 17A is every 7/8 minutes until at least September, but more likely to be every 10 minutes for the summer school holidays

Very disappointing that the QE interchange is losing yet another route in the 55.... Feel for anyone who uses it access the main entrance of QE are now in for a long walk.

I think the frequency's are going back to normal in mid-September as I've been told the Bristol is also having a frequency change.

As far as I've been told it wasn't meant to be re-instated, which is why it's not out of use again. Although there are still next stop announcements for it.

I apologise for asking, but what is happening with the 55? (other than not going to the QE interchange)
