Service Changes.

New Service 97A, an extended 97 to Birmingham Airport/International Station

Service 64 Rerouted to serve Bromford Estate

Add more changes below as they arise.

Jack

The 97A is exactly the same route as before when it ran, hardly new at all.

Still a new service though as it doesn't run now?

It's been reintroduced?

Stu

I have started compiling a list of service changes that I know about for an article to be published on my WMBU website.

I already know about the 97A and the change to the 64.

I also have the following two:

Service 35A - Walsall to Leighswood (Chaserider)
This is withdrawn and directly replaced with new 36A service, which extends to Lichfield.

Service 56B - Coventry to Bedworth (Stagecoach)
This is withdrawn and replaced with new 57 service, which continues to Nuneaton via Bermuda Park

If anyone knows of any other changes, I would appreciate sharing details here!
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Why didnt they renumber the 36 to 35, as there's already a 36 in Walsall?

Stagecoach changes from 20 July in South Warwickshire are now on their website here.  There is a new M-F peak hour X18A Coventry - Leamington - JLR Gaydon, and minor timetable changes to the X18 and (on Sundays) X20.

It looks like the blurb about some of the changes is not totally accurate (particularly the X18A) but the timetables available so far seem OK.

And people wonder why there's constant arguments and bickering on this forum.

The last time a 97A service ran to the airport the extension was sponsored by the Airport company, mainly I think to help staff (and encourage more employees) from Chelmsley Wood and east Birmingham. I wonder if this is the case again?

It shouldn't have stopped in the first place, it was very well used. I recall Resorts World funding the 97A when they briefly extended it to there on the weekends.
