seen these a lot on the X31 are they supposed to be on there with the emission zone in Brum or as (the people) at Cannock who allocate have no idea as usual as the branded buses were everywhere apart form there own routes as usual

Bob

Much nicer to travel on tho and smoother on the M6 than the Scania's! Theyll prob have there X31 branding removed soon id of thought....

Tomjusttom

The LEZ doesn't start til Janurary so won't affect these B10BLEEs til then!

my opinion of the v/dbc buses at cannock

3601 - Not in a bad state, perhaps a respray job needed now though
3602 - The only 1 of these to be chase linxed branded but i think now could do with being refurbed
3603 - Seems to have a big dent in the side now so obviously wasnt looked after
3604 - full refurbishment needed i think
3605 - awful sounding bus, sort the engine out, respray and should look half decent
3606 - could do with the respray again, dont know if anyone else has noticed but on the left of the bus, a couple of the pannels are duller than the rest of the bus
3607 - completley dead but still in cannocks yard
3608 - seems to be the same as 3605
3609 - desperate for a respray
3610 - desperate for a respray  and i think its time that 'paypoint' ad came off the side now
3611 - proberbly the only decent 1 hence why it went to wardles
3612 - proberbly the better 1 out of all of them

on a whole i think the whole lot should go to wardle transport or back to leicester and send the remaining plaxton centros down to cannock :)

why more vdl buses nice body but crap engine and transmission only reason the volvos are in a crap state is the crap fitters at cannock letting them go to rack and ruin.  I was a driver at Cannock and drove all of the B10 buses from hinckley when they had the slf darts in exchange and all of them were perfect its just bad maintancence

Shanestreet

Whats happing to 3607 is it coming back or not after the fire ??

A pity shows the engineering standards at Cannock even though they have full overhall facilities they cant even stop a bus from catching fire

arrivaaston

still not keen on these, would sooner have these at burton and swap them for commanders :)

Discodave

A volvo beets a DAF hands down they are comfortable and not gutless like the commanders.

arrivaaston

different people have different opinions on buses i suppose, you prefer the volvos i prefer either commanders or centro's, my mate likes the vovos, he prefers them to the commanders and thats fair comment, but i think we all agree that Cannocks 51 plate darts are s***

Discodave

yes they are s**t the last ones made like bob said the transbus ones with the cummins engine are better but there are not many about in the midlands

PM

Thats why looking at vehicle age is so misleading. These crappy MPDs are only 11 years old so sound alright but the MPD has kind of had its chips at this age and a 1998 volvo olympian is tons better-pity we never had any in WM. The problem is investors only look and think-is that low floor/relatively recent as opposed to is it a bus engineered to last 20 or 10 years
