Quote from: Stu on Yesterday at 07:10:41 PMNo they absolutely cannot. Laws on smoking within public service vehicles are the same as for passengers, it is a criminal offence.

The law also applies to drivers of any company-owned vehicle while being used in a work-related capacity.

Drivers can lose their job if they are found to be smoking in a company vehicle.

Now, if you have any evidence of one of Bangas drivers smoking weed or cigarettes inside one of their buses, then in the first instance you should contact Banga Buses and record a complaint:
https://bangabuses.co.uk/contact-us/

If you don't, then please quit the baseless ignorant accusations.

Sweet Jesus of Nazareth @tombzy - how moronic can you be?!

As @Stu has already said, it is ILLEGAL to drive with any substance that impairs your ability to drive.

Please educate yourself on the law:

But you chose to personally make up allegations and slate a bus company where they can't defend themselves. Go through the proper channels instead of making up a load of wibble. A lot of these newer members have a lot of learning to do.

Well with the comment of that the can smoke weed on the bus i was reffering to the fact anyone can do it it doesnt matter if its legal or not. My entire point if the fact they COULD do these stuff. You also say its wibble despite the fact that they are in some sorta trouble with the traffic commissioner shows that theres something amis.

Well, there's this recently published PI for a start:

 Decision for Rajinder Banga (PD1078264) - GOV.UK

My personal experiences of timekeeping, based purely on my last two attempts to travel on their 891:

1: Attempting to catch the final Telford departure one Saturday, My Arriva Bus from Newport pulled onto the Bus Station stand three minutes before the scheduled 891 departure time. Not impressed to see it depart before we had stopped.

2: A few days before the aforementioned PI, I'd visited Cosford Museum & was walking up to the A41 to catch the 891 back to Albrighton for a Pint or two in the Harp before the Train home. Plans kyboshed by it passing a timing point 6 minutes early.

I can't comment on substances involved on these (or any other) trips*, save for the (legal) rollup that I was indulging in whilst walking up Worcester Road...

* No pun intended.

Thanks @Isle of Stroma for the information, though I was hoping that our armchair lawyers/bus spotters might have provided this to substantiate some of his claims.

We know that the Banga family are no stranger to public enquiries and that they don't help themselves, as is evident from this link, though the ridiculous claims made by @tombzy can be exceptionally damaging.

let this be a lesson to many of the armchair spotters/critics who think that running a bus company is easy............

You say i said ridiculous claims when in a previous post i clarified exactly what i meant. Since you decided to get all heated up over what i said you didnt ask me to clarify and assumed i was taking a dig.
