Saw this speeded through sandwell and dudley a couple of weeks ago... are these intended for the cross city line or the main London to Birmingham/Birmingham to Liverpool routes... and are there plans to replace the Desiros completely??

This is a 3 car so for the cross city line, the longer distance ones are 5 cars. Only the 350/2 desiros are due to go off lease. Rumour is they are going to Scotrail.
